Been here many times and most recently had brunch at the bar. The mimosas, coffee and eggs be duct were very nice. The food is always great as is the service. Abe and Louie's is a Boston favorite. I love the tuna tartare and the Caprese salad, and oysters are always delicious. The steaks are very good but I can't... More

I was excited about this place and thought it was going to be "fine" dining, but afterwards I would just describe it as "really good" but not a great value or worth the price. I got the Delmonico steak and the wife got the Lobster Casserole. The steak was good, but I've had better at good steakhouses all around the... More

We were last minute planners this night. When we walked into this invitingly sophisticated steak house, we were pleasantly greater and asked if we had reservations. We did not. So the host checked and had a table for 2 up in the bar. We were cheerfully greeted by the hostess upstairs and seated. We were between the end of the... More

Food was excellent (I had prime rib). Service was what one would expect from a high end restaurant and wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

I had a Beef Carpaccio starter size as we are finding food portions far too big for us. It came with lots of rocket and shreds of Parmesan and lightly fried egg. Asked for black pepper as no salt or pepper on the table. My husband had shrimp and Scallop Louie Risotto with 3 shrimp, 3 scallops and brioche style... More

I read many reviews to try and accelerate the chance of having the finest beef in the USA. I was not disappointed. I did order too much being an Englishman in the States. You need no more than 2 side dishes between 2 people.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
