Hidden gem. I am Italian and me and my husband lived in the north end for 3 years before discovering this place. Most authentic Italian I have had thus far and the nicest staff. Low prices are a perk but the food is better than...any of the higher end restaurants we have frequented.More

What can I say? EVERY meal is excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and they make you feel like family. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and I have yet to try anything on the menu that is not excellent. Not to...mention that the wide selection of dishes and the great prices. Oh and the extensive wine list! Go there! You won't be disappointed.More

My boyfriend and I went here over the weekend, and it was outstanding. We both got the specials, shrimp penne al vodka and sausage tagliatelle with white wine sauce. Both were devoured. The bread was a bad start, cold, not toasted, and just given to...us with random oil, but they definitely made up for it. Strong drinks, and a good glass of wine.More

I visited this restaurant recently with some friends for dinner. It is a fairly small place but we had no trouble being seated right away. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There is a pretty good sized selection of dishes on the menu. I enjoyed...the Chicken L'Osteria which was a boneless chicken breast layered with prosciutto, spinach and mozzarella, baked with lemon, dry white wine and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious and the portion size was huge. It came with a small dish of pasta. The atmosphere is wonderful and plenty of windows to look out into the North End of Boston and see people walking around the city. I visited during the winter but it appears that the windows could be opened in the summer to enjoy the night air. This was my 1st visit to L'Osetria. It will not be my last.More

L'Osteria took my reservation the day before. I booked a 4 p.m. table and it was ready on time. The waitress and other members of the restaurant were very friendly and cordial. At desert time, I asked that they put a candle on my daughters...Tirimisu, and they did. They were present for our singing of 'Happy Birthday' to my daughter. This restaurant served to be the best ending of our shopping day in the North End. They were excellent, as was the food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!More

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5 and had to wait just a few minutes to be seated. The restaurant was busy but not extremely noisy which was a plus. Our waitress was prompt and friendly informing us of specials etc. we ordered our...drinks and food all at once and settled in to wait. We were pleasantly surprised by the pace in which things came out. Everything was delicious and as ordered except I ordered linguini with my veal and got rigatoni instead. Not a huge deal and we cleaned our plates. Fast friendly service and good food at what I consider reasonable prices. I’ll be backMore

I went on a freezing cold Tuesday night. The restaurant was 3/4 filled. Had a little bit of a wait , but it was well worth my time. The Chicken Francese Is one of the greatest meals I’ve ever had .Cooked to perfection. I have...never had a bad experience at this restaurant. It’s a hidden gem in the North End. Will be back....soon.More

Very pretty restaurant and slightly less tightly packed and less noisy than some other north end places. Our waitress, Anna, was very nice and described all of the specialties (which are in Italian and not explained in the menu). My veal Piemontese ($23) was fantastic....The calamari app is pricey ($16) but was literally enough for 6 people! In general the price point is maybe slightly lower than surrounding places but with equal quality.More
