Really delicious dinner with an atmosphere that was just right: not to big, so service was spot-on. Noise level, despite the theater-style room was not intrusive. Loved every bite.

We booked to have our New Year's Eve dinner here and it was the best way to end 2016! The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and we had to wait at the bar for a little while, until our table was ready. There were 6 of us, so this was understandable, especially on such a busy night. The... More

Some reviewers found Teatro noisy, but at 6:15pm it wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday, and it was great. Our waiter was not the most sophisticated but very friendly and helpful and earnest. Chicken milanese was huge, topped by a mound of arugula. Pasta with a very good bolognese sauce, meaty. Tasty fried calamari appetizer bowl and also brussell sprouts.... More

We recently ate at Teatro on New Years Eve and loved our experience. The vibe is modern with blue light illuminating the dining area. Everything about our experience was positive - the service was incredibly friendly and approachable, the portions are large and well priced, and the wine list was very impressive. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are... More

We were a party of four for New Year's eve with 9:15 reservations. We arrived a bit early and were lucky to find some seats at the bar for a cocktail. The place was packed and the patrons were lively. The bartender was busy but friendly and we had drinks while awaiting our table which was ready promptly at 9:15.... More

This is a nice place close to the theaters in Boston so they are good at getting diners in and out so you can eat and take in a show without feeling rushed. The food is basic Italian. We shared salads between couples. They were average and really not large enough to share. For meals we had eggplant, veal, fish... More

Teatro has always been one of our favorite restaurants, both in terms of food and service. They go out of their way to take care of their patrons. However, tonight (New Year's Eve) they exceeded our expectations. We had made late reservations, which we could not keep. We called and canceled, but told them we would be in earlier to... More

Came for dinner early before a show. Service was good. Food was good. But restaurant was crowded and loud. Did not expect that before 5:30 even on a Saturday.

Awesome little tapas menu. We'd go here before shows or birthday parties at the local clubs. Small bar but food is yummy and easy on the stomach. You don't have to leave feeling full and fat.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
