My college-student son loves Italian and the location is close to Emerson College. My eggplant Parm was very good. His Fettucine Alfredo was a very generous portion but the chicken was dry. Our server was very good and asked if we were on a schedule. We needed to get to a movie, so she made sure we got our food... More

I think this place is more of a dinner joint as it was dead quiet at lunch or maybe it was the 5 inches of snow that had just fell? The food was really good and great value. I liked the place, staff were great. I'd recommend it for a good honest meal.

Although a chain restaurant, this place is out of this world delicious. What makes it a little more special is that it's the only one around. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food keeps you coming back for more. Perfect for families, friends or date night. The staff is always very friendly, and the meals are always perfect. A helpful... My travel companion and I were visiting Boston and were given an "inside" tip from a limo driver about this restaurant. (His son is the restaurant manager!) It was just a short walk from our hotel (Fairmont Copely Sq), so we decided to give it a try. It was absolutely a wonderful place to dine. Expecting a more contemporary setting,... More

We came here for dinner tonight and were seated immediately. All of the staff is extremely friendly. The chef came out with a small plate of caprese because he heard it was our first time here. The mozzarella was divine! I had the lasagna and the hubs had the baked ziti. They were superb!!! To top it off we had... More

I went here for New Year's Eve! The service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and careful about food allergies. The food was very good and had lots to choose from!

Went into town for a few days for 1st night. Made reservations for NYE, right after fireworks. My expectation was probably a wait, loud crowded waiting room and some frazzled staff. We got there, no craziness, seated right away and excellent staff. We were a party of 5, did family style. So much food, all excellent. Chopped salad, we could... More

Stopped here while a friend was in town from Florida. Maggiano's is a staple and one to always count out. I liked this time because we ordered individual dinners. However, with large groups the family plans are terrific. The service was great and most helpful with choices in meals. My eggplant was a bit cold, but didn't mention this and... More

We were given a gift certificate for Maggianos for Christmas since it is a treat for us to dine there. We were seated immediately and naturally presented the wine menu. I ordered a glass of Moscato and my husband ordered a glass of house Pinot noir. Our server explained they do not offer house wines but he would serve the... More

Place decorated beautifully. Staff friendly and helpful. Appetizers and soup amazing, shrimp diavolo to die for, the baked ziti delicious and Nonnas pound cake fabulous as I remembered. We sat and talked, no rushing us. Very relaxing atmosphere. Fun place to meet friends.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
