Been to Grill 23 several times before last two times not impressed at all. The steaks were average but not worth the price and the sides just OK. Very loud always felt rushed and the restaurant needs a remodel.

Great place to go for lunch or dinner in Boston , old steak house , warm and pleasant. Great staff , excellent sommelier, delicious food . Their clams chowder is amazingly good.

Living in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, where USDA Prime beef is only available if you import it yourself, Grill 23 is a steak lover's "died and gone to heaven" local. I, and most members of our group of 7, had oysters as our appetizer. They were excellent! For entrees, the majority had the 100 day dry aged prime ribeye -... More

This place rocks. The menu varies but they do cook a mean steak. Love the bartenders tho. And the bread. And the wine. I make it a point to come here whenever I am in town.

The bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated for the festive season. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating and drinks/food were good, if not a little on the 'salty' side. Pricey though.

My wife an I were in town for a conference. We did the searching and grill 23 did not disappoint. Our hotel concierge made us promise to try the coconut cake. Absolutely wonderful. Our wine, shrimp cocktail, crab cake, and filet were all perfect. We had asparagus and Grill Tots on the side which were great choices. Please make reservations... More

Living in Miami, fireplaces are something of a novelty to us, so when making reservation asked for table near to the fireplace which was promised, but didn't quite get it. Apart from that, the meal was enjoyable and the service good.

The ambiance was infectious. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. We went as a family on a Saturday evening. We were never rushed and the wait staff was accommodating to everyone's requests. They were available but did not hover. The twinkle lights made for a holiday flair. It was lovely in every respect.

very good food, excellent service, a little noisy kept this from being absolutely first rate. Our table of six all enjoyed their diverse meals. Cod was fresh and light, sides were delicious

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
