We had 16 family members including a 1 year old for a family dinner. They seated us downstairs, so we had plenty of privacy, could hear each other talk, and we weren't rushed at all. Food was great; can't list everything but I had the gnocchi a la Julianna and really enjoyed it. Price was very fair.

Like Walking into Mama Anna's Home The guest near the door held the door for us. And the "Uncle" seated us showing us where to put our suitcases. We had just arrived on the Amtrak Downeaster. It was lunch time so we shared an Antipasto. The bread was SO good! Home made. And Home madeCreamy Italian Dressing. Very reasonable prices.

I'm from this neighborhood & last night I reminded myself why I don't eat at Mother Anna's. Drinks & appetizers are fine but main courses are terrible. The cook slaps everything together...their marsala sauce is all butter & marinara is watery. We were a big party & the only person that loved his food was the one that ordered steak... More

Great food! Eggplant Rollatini, Lobster rav, chix parm, roberto, everyone loved their dish. Mother Anna's maranari sauce is to die for.

We were looking for dinner in the Little Italy area in Boston. A bartender at a nearby bar recommended Mother Anna's. The menu is Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is friendly but intimate. We all enjoyed our meals a lot. Service was very good. Prices seemed quite reasonable for the area.

We had dinner here early evening on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Right after we arrived the restaurant was packed. My friends and I all ordered pasta dishes and we were very happy with our choices. I can't have dairy so ordered the Pollo Venzia, thinly sliced chicken salted in white wine and lemon with mushrooms and artichokes. It... More

This place was recommended by our tour bus driver and we are glad we took his advice. Great food, very fresh and authentic Italian. The place was packed on a Sunday night (as were all the other Italian places we saw on the way so no avoiding the crowds) but we were seated quickly and enjoyed the meal.

This restaurant was recommended by a local (maybe they were playing a trick on us.) The bread was nothing special at all. I definitely buy better at my local grocery store. I asked for angel hair pasta and the server said they didn't have that. What??? Our food was so tasteless and such a disappointment! It didn't have any flavor... More

My wife and I had our joint law school graduation dinner at Mother Anna's 29 years ago, so we decided to go there with our 22 year-old son who recently started work in Boston. I assumed either that the restaurant wouldn't have aged well, or that maybe it was never as good as we'd remembered. How nice it was to... More

I had the gnocchi Juliana, which is seafood and gnocchi in a marsala wine sauce. Loved it. Couldn't finish the huge portion. The others in our group raved about their selections, too. Waiter was friendly and did a good job.
