Unique, Fresh and Fun

Just off Boston Common, great location for lunch. Loved the unique menu of salads, sandwiches and entrees created by famous chefs just for this restaurant. But get there early as a line forms shortly after noon. We had the nicoise, the hot and cold chicken salad and the Mac and cheese. Both... read more

Dropped by for lunch on a cold Saturday. The place was packed and we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. There were three of us. I noticed that the two tops were seated more frequently. Maybe those tables turnover more quickly I'm not sure. The menu is excellent. There is a wide variety for vegan or vegetarian... More

We've always liked the Parish, which offers the best dishes from many Boston restaurants. We were in town for both days and it was so good the first time that we went back for a 2nd time. We had the chicken entrée on their menu and it was to die for. They also had a special on the board, that... More

So, I asked for a recommendation for a lunch place within walking distance of my office, and someone suggested Parish Cafe for sandwiches. The place was quite crowded at prime time on a Friday but there was a solo seat at the bar, so I took it. I asked for a recommendation from the bartender, and he recommended his favorite... More

I went out for a casual birthday lunch with my family, and I am so glad that we decided to try this place. It is located on Bolyston street right near the Boston common and newbury street. We got there a little before 1pm and had about a 25 minute wait for five people, which wasn't too bad especially because... More

Have heard very good things about Parish, we were not disappointed. Lunch sandwiches we large and filling. Our party all though it was all delicious. We ordered 2 apps and sandwiches, was really too much food for lunch. Price was reasonable, probably very reasonable for Boston. Will go back again really wanted to try a few different sandwiches.

I enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching them...it was entertaining. Busy little place, good food...good selection but for me the hype over the chef's sandwiches got my hopes up a little too high without the flavor delivery.

This was a repeat visit for me and the second time around was even better. It's a small and very popular destination, so arriving at 12:30 p.m. meant we had to wait. However, we were seated sooner than promised and even though it was crowded, were never made to feel rushed. Overhearing another waiter's recommendations (our waitress was, unfortunately, not... We remembered seeing this place really busy when we were in Boston over the summer and thought we'd give it a try. We were not disappointed. We had very tasty sandwiches and my son had Mac and cheese. Definitely will be returning on our next trip to Boston.

We had a great meal hear of a salad nicoise and the Vietnamese chicken sandwich. Both were cooked to perfection though I have to say the sandwich was fabulous. The beer selection was nice and the wait staff at the bar was great. We ate at the bar due to the long line. I would go back I was in... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
