Mistral is the best! I love stopping by with my Dad on our way home from a walk. It is the perfect place to get a treat! The staff is so warm and welcoming! I thought the five-star hotels gave the best treats but Mistral is the best kept secret in town! My mom and dad had a wonderful anniversary... More

Loved the location, atmosphere and service. Part of Columbus Hospitality group, upscale dining, doesn't disappoint.

I've had a lot of very good meals in Boston - this is one of them. We've enjoyed a couple of nice celebrations here - no complaints, prices are very high, though. Truly not sure the value is worth it.

On a Saturday night the chandelier over head the wait staff surround our table of 8. We peruse the menu sipping champagne well knowing we could order any of the offering and be satiated and so each of order our heartsdelights and felt as if we were at Barbet,s feast sharing morsel with each other...Love and Warmth enclosed the table... Mistral is always consistent. The food is excellent with the service to match. The atmosphere is contemporary, open, and not as noisy as many restaurants these days. The bar scene is happening--in between Back Bay and the South End. The food is easy continental, something for everyone. You can't go wrong.

We had a fabulous dinner with 10 persons. This is a top class restaurant with a very good Wine menu but also an excellent choice of beers. The food was plainly delicious and the service top notch.

Love the atmosphere at Mistral. Brunch is one of our favorite meals, so I am very particular. The food choices as well as the actual food are wonderful. The breads are just amazing. It is a fun, boisterous atmosphere and great for all occassions.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
