We have to give a positive recommendation to this restaurant. It is not cheap but the quality of the sea food is very high. So why not a 5!? The place is so popular that they are getting a little complacent. Our main course (Cod) was over cooked because they were pushing us to get our meal finished so they... More

As a couple, we had one of the booths at the back, and went for the New England Lobster feast for two, with a half bottle of white wine - total came to about $150 with tip, tax etc. Whilst that sounds reasonably pricey we thought was good value for what we got and how great the food, service and... Lobster roll delicious, fresh Halibut outstanding, service sprightly and informative. Only downside was the number of covers squeezed into the not insubstantial space. Its very noisy and cramped. A second lunchtime visit was more convivial.

Great place. Reservations strongly encouraged. Lively, but not obnoxiously so. Great seafood. Everything we had was great from appetizers to dessert.

We booked Atlantic Fish & arrived on time to a crowded restaurant where we had to wait at the bar until our table was ready This was not a problem as it gave us time to peruse the menu & watch the action behind & in front of the bar. We ordered a bottler of wine which hadn't arrived by... More

The clam chowder and seafood salad with shrimp was very good. The service is excellent. This is a nice place to dine but a bit pricey if you have children.

The restaurant has a decent selection of fresh fish and the quality of meals was good. We were seated near the bar and it was (naturally) quite loud. The atmosphere in the restaurant was rather hectic and not relaxing (well it was Friday evening). Overall, in terms of price/quality the restaurant is not particularly impressive but worth visiting.

We visited on a Saturday evening without a reservation, having been warned we would certainly have to wait for unreserved seats at the bar. We did have to wait - for about 30 minutes - in a slightly chaotic scrum, but ( armed with a glass of wine) we enjoyed talking to a number of people also waiting, and the... More

They have some mouth watering lobster dishes here. I was looking at everyone's plates and found it difficult to decide. I had the lobster cioppino which is fish, clam, mussel in a savory saffron broth topped with a half lobster. It was my favorite lobster dish while in Boston and there was a huge serving. Things to note: 1) make... More

We had reservations but were seated as close to the patio (where non reservations guest are seated) as possible by a rude hostess. Our waitress was very hyper and overall not professional at all. A mouse was out on the patio running amongst the feet of the patrons dining out there. Our waitress noticed us discussing the mouse and bluntly... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
