Yesterday we tried to have dinner here. Although only one table was occupied te server was și confused that it took 20 minutes to take the order. O took clam chowder which was a litlle too smokey in taste. For the second course they hâd serious problems to identify which client order (a table of ten) and I remained without... More

This was a wonderful breakfast experience! The Avenue One restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Boston is very nice. It is spacious, with high ceilings and large windows, and the seating doesn't seem crowded. I was seated promptly at breakfast, and just as promptly, got up to take a look at the buffet options. My mind was made up when I... More

Stayed at the Hyatt and ate dinner and breakfast twice during our stay. Normally, I don't like to eat in hotels versus local restaurants, but the service and food were outstanding enough to retain our business. Breakfast can be a little pricey whereas dinner was normal price. Chowder, lobster ravioli are excellent.

We had a couple of entree salads for lunch and they were of very good quality, generous and tasty. We stopped by on another occasion for a delicious bowl of clam chowder. Service was very nice and we felt that the restaurant was reasonably priced given its setting.

The Lobster grilled cheese sandwich was succulent. Great bar. The waitstaff was friendly. They also offer a great buffet breakfast.

My husband and I had tickets to see a show at the Boston Opera House. We arrived early so we could enjoy a quick bite before the show. We parked at the Hyatt and decided to try their restaurant. We were seated immediately and were waited on right away. We enjoyed drinks and each had "Bar Bites". He had the... More

Great attentive service in this relaxing restaurant. Food was fresh and tasty. I had the spinach salad that included red quinoa, sliced local feta, oranges in a light olive oil dressing topped with grilled salmon. They definitely have an up to date menu with many options for all food palates (gluten free and vegan friendly here).

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
