We had lunch after doing a nearby room escape-- good nachos and salads. The only downside was the waiter kept mixing up what margaritas we'd ordered--why don't they just write down the orders-- but they fixed errors quickly and cheerfully.

Nothing to write home about. Being from California I am always surprised with tomato sauce as salsa and white rice in burritos.. but hey, we are in New England.

Had afternoon lunch in this colourful place, it was quiet but I can imagine it's pretty lively at night. It's pretty cheap for Boston, the service was quick and the food good value. It's not going to be a gourmet experience but if you want a quick Mexican fix this is a good place to visit.

The guava margaritas (on special) were spectacular. I had the chicken burrito without cheese (who makes a burrito with cheese? not the mexicans! blech) and it was very good and no skimping on refried beans or chicken. The side of guacamole that we ordered was from a jar/can/etc and not that great. The salsa was also not made en casa... More

Fajitas & 'Ritas is always mentioned in the Improper Bostonian, but I guess now it must be 'paid for' advertising as the food here was slightly less than average. We arrived on a Sunday evening so wasn't expecting it to be really busy, but I think we were probably the last customers in before they closed. On reflection this may... More

From the name alone you should know this is by far authentic Mexican. The food was pretty average. Nothing special. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it wasn't great, I also got a margarita and it was very salty. I usually love any kind of chips and salsa. Believe me I'm not a snob, I'll eat tostitos like nobody's business.... More

My wife and I went with our teen boys. Good drinks and food. Pulled pork burritos were good but would get the fajitas next time. Awesome decor.

Just around the corner from our hotel, overwhelmed by the choice of places to eat and tired from travelling, this provided a great experience. Great service from our waitress, great Mexican food and cocktails (free chips and dips whilst my husband went back to the hotel for the girl's id which we'd forgotten!). Loud and busy, enjoyable evening.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
