They know what a sopapilla is!

The first (maybe only) place on the East coast where they serve and actually know what a sopapilla is. Having been spoiled with the variety and excellent quality of Mexican food in South-West, I was always disappointed in the Mexican style food of the East coast. Not anymore. We ate here our first night in Boston. Absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff and hip place. Fair warning - the serving sizes are quite large so share the nachos!

This restaurant has a good/large menu and is different to others around. Its a cross between a funky restaurant and a canteen, but in a good way. The fajhitas were good, and the staff were pleasant.

Nothing fancy, nothing outstanding, but always a great time for everybody with quick service and nice portions. The kids love the virgin 'ritas (as do the parents); sometimes when we're downtown we stop in just for ice cold drinks in the summer.

Went to F&Rs after a three year absence and remember it as being better. The salsa was weak and ketchup like. Burrito was ok. Beer selection was weak.

You really get your moneys worth when it comes to quantity here. Food itself is allright, nothing out of the ordinary. They should do something about their bathroom as it is not very nice

Great margaritas and fajitas!!! Best part of this place is that it is no frills and they still put out a great meal.

The food was bland, the atmosphere was loud, the restaurant was hot and the service was rushed and slow. The chips were OK, but the salsa was honestly nothing more than canned tomatoes.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
