Not every knows your name at what my friends and I call Fake Cheers...this is a good stop for a good pint and to take a break from the freedom trail...Stick to beer here...Harpoon IPA is the best on tap.

Average restaurant with above average prices. We stopped about 2 in the afternoon on a Saturday for lunch and only ordered an appetizer and it seemed to take a long time just to get our food. We only saw our waiter twice. Once when he took our order and then again when he asked us if we wanted our check.... More

My wife and I were looking to have a nice dinner meal and since we did not have the time to get over to the real place at Beacon Hill so we walked in here. After looking around we did not have a positive impression so we left. It seemed a bit dingy and not so clean. We could be... More

Step back to Cheers on TV, look for Norm and all in one place. Drinks are good and not too pricey for a tourist stop. Enjoy the people watching while sipping on a brew. Food looked good but we did not eat here.

Had the turkey sandwich and was good. Cool that it's a spin off of the original. Sat at the "norm seat" at the bar. Worth checking out.

I gently dragged my husband in- he had never seen the tv show, but I was a huge fan. They had GREAT service even though they were packed, and the food and drinks did not disappoint! YAY!

This is not the original Cheers from TV fame but the original in Beacon Hill was only the outside anyway! This one is much larger, food was good and so was the service.

This is not the original Cheers but the inside is built to look like the set. The original location looks the same on the outside but not the inside so choose you option. The food is marginal and restaurant is packed with tourists. Service was decent.

We chose this Cheers location because I was told it looked like the original Cheers on TV. We went downstairs but it was cluttered with storage and additional supplies. Very disappointing. The food was above average bar food. We had an assortment of food between all of us and everyone enjoyed their food. I had the sirloin steak sandwich and... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
