We were visiting Boston, and my 10 year old son really wanted fried shrimp. Boston has great seafood, but fried shrimp is almost impossible to find. We happened to discover this restaurant at the Fanueill Hall Market. We discovered that they served baskets of fried, shrimp, oysters, etc. I ordered a Cajun seasoned grilled fishsandwich. Our meal was delicious! Highly... More

The lunch entrees are somewhat expensive, but if you want to eat lighter fare, you can order half a sandwich and soup/salad, or even better, share a sandwich. We shared the roast beef with swiss cheese and it was very tasty. My husband ordered clam chowder and said it was ok, nothing special.

We had lunch here yesterday and the special - 1/2 sandwich and a mug of soup - was perfect. Also can't speak highly enough of the bacon-wrapped scallops. CLAM chowder was fantastic, as was the draft beer. Perfect location near Faneuil Hall.

The only good things were the clam chowder and the position. Lobster linguini were really terrible and fried fish platter was not good as well. About 100 $ fot 2 small soups, 2 main courses + drinks.

Great spot for taking a lunch break and relaxing. Fun to check out the walking crowds checking out the many stores. Our seafood was good and the service (Jessica) was attentive. Small venue yet comfortable.

Had a great lunch here sitting outdoors near Fanueil Hall. Freshest steamed clams I'd ever eaten! Other dishes super fresh too. Would recommend outdoor seating, though restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor. Nice ambiance and wait staff is attentive.

Walking through Faneuil hall we made a stop here and enjoyed some beverages. The service and atmosphere was so fun we went back the next night. The Bloody Mary's, Calamari, and oysters on the half shell were delish! Food is fresh, hot and comes out fast. We sat at the small bar, but the dining area is also very nice.... More

We had several hours in the city and wanted to walk the Freedom Trail. We wanted to sit outside for lunch and enjoy the sites and people watch. The service was poor. The prices were high (but only slightly higher than inside Quincy Market). The food was not exceptional or even good. My roll was burnt and no one came... More

This place had the best seafood and is always a place that we stop at first when we get off the plane. The service is great, the people are great. This place is kid friendly and the prices are worth it.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
