We loved the Salty Dog! The lobster roll was great and the Bloody Mary was outstanding! Great place to sit outside and take in all the sights.

This place is a great stop. We had lunch on a beautiful day outside. The lobster roll, oyster po boy, and baked seafood were all very good. It was on the expensive side, but worth it. We would come back.

Stopped by on a very hot day in Boston for lunch. Sat outside in the shade and had great service. The server brought us so many glasses of ice it was fantastic! The calamari was the best I have ever had. I need the recipe. It was crisp and then drizzled with garlic olive oil but it was not soggy... More

Stopped by a couple times. Staff was really nice. Beer was cold, food was good. A bit pricey, but that's because the location. Stop by and check them out.

A nice surprise... Very pleasant outdoor atmosphere - food was very good as was the beer on tap. I would recommend it. My colleagues also agree.

Stopped in for a late lunch. I had the lobster sandwich and it was amazing., I washed it down with the salty dog beer on tap. If you set on the patio there is a live show the kids can enjoy that takes place in the open area. It does attract many visitors walking thru but its something the kids... More

We stopped by for lunch on Friday. Lots of seating at the inside dining room and bar and several tables outside. Luckily we got one outside in the shade. The seating is on the corner on a walkway. (This is a few shops from Anthem Kitchen & Bar). Service was very quick and friendly. The fish and chips were very... More

We had no lunch reservations one day during our Boston Trip and wanted a real seafood lunch, so stopped here. I ordered the Cod Fish and Chips with Coleslaw, and my wife ordered the crab cakes. She said her cakes were delicious and I stole and bite and had to agree, and the Remoulade was very good. The Cod was... More

Such a great place for seafood lovers. Outdoor bar seating and tables. Love to eat and people watch. Or sit at the bar and chat with others. Food is excellent.

Thank Carla O

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
