Chau Chow City has been a Boston staple for many years, and many people still go there for dim sum out of habit. But the food has declined in quality, at the same time as many truly excellent dim sum restaurants have opened up nearby. Pass this place up, and go to Hei La Moon instead.

We go to the restaurant on a Sunday lunch time, plenty of seats, so no need to wait. The service is fast and food is delicious, everyone seems relax and the price is reasonable.

I visited this location because as I was walking through chinatown in Boston I saw this establishment. After reading the menu in the window and thinking to myself... if i see nothing else, this will be a suitable option... I walked around for 20 minutes. Most restraunts in the area were up or down stairs with confusing enterances and no... More

We went on a day trip into Boston and decided to get Chinese food in Chinatown. This restaurant seemed to be fairly empty and it was nice to have a quiet place for my family to have lunch. They service was excellent. The food was terrific. We ordered chicken lomein, a combination plate with teriyaki beef, chicken fingers , and... More

I toured around the world from London to the bank... and this is top notch Dim Sum lunch. Quick service. Tasty, variety and so good. Full meal for 4 for $40. The neon interior recalled a side alley in Bangkok. When I'm in Boston I don't always eat Dim Sum but when I do its Chau Chow City.

Not sure my family would completely agree with this review, but I was not fond of this place. That it was fine is the best I can say. We did the Dim Sum. The staff was pushy and the restaurant wasn't so clean. The only thing that was right was the price.

Good value, tasty food. Can't ask for much more. Prompt delivery. Not fancy. Just average, American style Chinese food.

Four of us had Sunday Dim Sum. It's so much fun seeing push carts with steaming delectables. So many choices. We had to remind ourselves that our eyes are bigger than our stomach. Once seated, the steaming carts come out you all at once. We had so much food on our table in just a few minutes that we had... More

They came to our table with different dim sums, which were excellent !!!! We also ordered some typical dishes like egg rolls, fried rice, chicken and broccoli, and egg foo young. Everything was delicious ............. we had enough to take home for several more lunches.
