This a great old Boston Harbor joint. It a real oasis in a sea of large rather bland buildings that harkens' back to an earlier, much funkier Boston. The service is great, the food good and the prices high, but overall very much worth repeated visits.

This is the preverbal tourist trap. Not easy to find if your are not a local and dining is rustic at best. Opening your Lobster with rocks is not quite expectable to me. Paper and plastic for all food served. There are plenty of good tourist food stops in the Seaport area. This is not one of them!

This is a "joint," you're not coming here for fine, elegantly prepared food; it's the best food you can get served on a paper plate (Lobster roll is my fav). It's more about being in a fun place with nice staff and boisterous crowd on the water.

there currently is road construction in front of the restaurant. we had dinner in the covered large open air picnic table area attached to the bar. there is a more formal sit down area on the other side of the building we did not go in. nice view of the water. very good appetizers, we had little neck clams that... This resaurant was recommended to us by a tour guide. Down on the Boston Docks. Sounded great. Then we had to try and find it for all the construction (they must have wanted to stay hidden as there were no signs directing us to it). We waited at the reception desk for ten minutes to get the receptionist to acknowledge... More

Very average food. No napkins. Paper plates , plastic cutlery and plastic glasses. It's not cheap either.

Food was very good and service was excellent. Seating leaves a little to be desired, but a great place for lunch on a nice day.

We came across this restaurant by accident while walking along the Boston waterfront. It is located just by the Courthouse and from the outside looks like a shack! It has an inside room but the outside terrace overlooking the waterfront is much better. The menu is mainly seafood and we opted for the hot crab dip and New England clam... More

Very loud and very dirty. Our plates and cups were sticking to the bar. Not worth the high city prices for a dirty bar.

This is a cross between a working man's bar, a tourist eatery, and a local landmark. Nothing fancy, but great beer and bugs. Would stop in again if in Boston

Neighborhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
