My daughter took me for my birthday. Found my two favorite wines, a Stags Leap and Vosne-Romanee on the list. Good start. The food was good and the service friendly. A little bit of a bistrot vibe. We missed the live jazz as it was a Monday night. I will def go back. Enjoy!

Came here for a business dinner with colleagues last week and had an excellent dinner. For starters, had the fried oysters which were excellent and had the seared scallops for the main course. For dessert, had the creme brûlée which was also very good. Restaurant has a great wine list and fantastic ambience. Service was ok but a bit on... More

Great food and wonderful wine selection! We were able to get a table on the side where the entertainment was (if you do not make reservations, they have bar top tables, but not the most comfortable seats. First come first served). We heard a pianist and a jazz band while enjoying supper and drinks. We enjoyed the atmosphere and service... More

I've spent almost three weeks in the US, mostly in Manhattan. I've wined and dined in loads of great places. And I think this is the best meal I've had since I arrived. Loved it. Really good wines at reasonable prices. And fab food. Loved it.

Great service. Very attentive without being annoying. Had the mushroom risotto. Perfectly cooked with butternut squash and green onions. Lovely and creamy with great flavor. The garlic bread was perfectly toasted.

Excellent quality and reliable/dependable lunch venue. They have a good menu with a range of options to select from. Also reasonably priced. For business lunch purposes, it was especially good because of the way you could have a conversation without yelling at the other person. Not so easy to come by these days! I've been to LZ many months ago,... More

Went there to listen to a specific musician so didn't have any expectations about the food. Food was excellent. Wife had sirloin, I had Fruits de Mer, very good sauce, great bread and the Lemoncello Mascarpone cake was perfect. Noisy, service a little slow, server busy. Convenient or inconvenient dependent on your perspective, right next to South Station and Chinatown.... More

Attended a corporate event here. Two bars are better than one, and Les Zygomates fits the bill. One with a Jazz band, a quieter one without, Pick your preference or try them both, they have an nice selection of spirits featuring a complex collection of cocktails. I tried a couple of obscure Bourbons. one I've never scene before called the... More

The food was awesome! After about 10 dozen oysters we moved on to flatbread pizzas, burgers and fish. Oh, the oyster shooters (a shot... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
