Was happy that the very nice couple let us squeeze into the bar till we could get a table -- friendly place with q very good vibe - Negatives -- long but dull and mediocre wine list. The tuna tartare recommended by the bartender tasted like it was out of a can. The music was that dreary kind of jazz... More

We visited Les Zygomates bar area during their oyster happy hour. We had 2 dozens of fresh and delicious oysters and a great Pinot Noir. They have an extensive wine selection. Jess, the bartender, was very attentive and kind.

We were here for lunch so didn't get to experience the live music - the stage looms over the restaurant. The salads are perfect for a light lunch and there were more substantial selections that were good if you are hungrier, such as the risotto. The bread is perfect and I loved the garlic butter.

I'd rate this somewhere around 3.5 though I can't mark that on the scale here. Had heard and read great things about this place so figured I should go since I was visiting Boston and came away overall a tad underwhelmed. Definitely scores marks for ambience - The place is pretty with some different seating areas like the bar/drinks &... More

We were recommended this place for Christmas Eve, and it sure was a great recommendation. We made the error of walking in without reservation, and thus could not enjoy the live Jazz. However, our experience at the Bistro section more than made up for it. Food and Beverages: The menu is well-designed, with limited, but good food choices and a... More

My daughter took me for my birthday. Found my two favorite wines, a Stags Leap and Vosne-Romanee on the list. Good start. The food was good and the service friendly. A little bit of a bistrot vibe. We missed the live jazz as it was a Monday night. I will def go back. Enjoy!

Came here for a business dinner with colleagues last week and had an excellent dinner. For starters, had the fried oysters which were excellent and had the seared scallops for the main course. For dessert, had the creme brûlée which was also very good. Restaurant has a great wine list and fantastic ambience. Service was ok but a bit on... More

Great food and wonderful wine selection! We were able to get a table on the side where the entertainment was (if you do not make reservations, they have bar top tables, but not the most comfortable seats. First come first served). We heard a pianist and a jazz band while enjoying supper and drinks. We enjoyed the atmosphere and service... More

I've spent almost three weeks in the US, mostly in Manhattan. I've wined and dined in loads of great places. And I think this is the best meal I've had since I arrived. Loved it. Really good wines at reasonable prices. And fab food. Loved it.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
