Salumeria Italiana is a great neighborhood shop, tucked away on a side street in the North End, Boston's Italian Quarter. They carry everything - cheeses, crackers, Italian coffee, olive oils and a really great selection of gourmet vinegars if you are looking for something special. You can order sliced meats like prosciutto or one of their incredible selection of every... More

My sister and her husband live near by and it is a frequent stop for them... We love stopping in for Italian favorites, recommendations for cheese... and just a great overall place to pick up yummy, and divine treats for when you are having company or just want quality food. The service is awesome, friendly and very helpful...

Great selection of Artisanal cheeses and cured meats from all over Italy and other places. Complete market with home made breads and spreads perfect for putting together a nice picnic, lunch, or dinner. A nice bottle of vino and you're set. Good, high quality products with friendly help. Our first visit and we felt like kids in a candy shop.... More

Stop by for a hunk of the best cheese and a pound of the best prosciutto in the world... well, outside of Italy. Friendly folks, great products from the home country. Olives, olive oil, pasta..... I swear, every time I go to Boston I pick up something from Salumeria to carry home.

Salumeria has an excellent selection of Italian delights! Going there is just like shopping in a small market in Italy. Their selections of meat, cheese, olive oil and chocolate cannot be beat!

We drive up from the South Shore frequently to procure meats, cheeses, olives, salads, breads & more whenever we plan to serve an antipasto platter to celebrate special occasions. Great selection, quality and service!

The selection is great and you can sample all the offerings. Fine cold cuts and a wide variety of cheeses. The staff is very helpful, we were interested in a particular tomato sauce that they didn't carry , however they took our name and phone number promising to track it down and try to get it for us

the perfect picnic starts at Salumeria in the heart of the North Eng (little Italy) of Boston. They have everything you need for your next picnic or gathering at your house for casual bites. Second to none, the staff are very knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful. Worth the drive to the city

I love that on a busy city street in Boston you can find a shop where they are busy plucking the leaves off basil plants to make their own pesto. And when the woman stopped doing it, a beautiful little girl picked right up. I felt like I was in Italy. And the smells of the salamis and cheeses, divine.... More

We stopped in to see what king of things they have in this nice store. All the cheese looks great and we couldn't leave without some of their bread. It was delicious.

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
