We went here before eating in the island creek oyster bar as it was easy being part of the same hotel. The cocktails were delicious and there was super service. I can highly recommend this bar for a pre dinner drink and can recommend 'le bicyclette'.

stopped by for a pre billy joel drink. nice hotel bar. bartender was quick to bring us water and take our drink orders. martini was very good (could maybe use better olives as these were plain small green olives) and wine was also good. quick one drink and we were out but would be happy to visit here again when... The hotel is historic and shows it. Very cool lobby and the rooms have character as well- our double queen room actually had two bathrooms. It was clean and comfortable- the only issue was the ac is controlled centrally and cannot be adjusted in the room- it wasn't a big deal- the temperature was comfortable.

The wine list is spectacular, the presentation of wines excellent. I haven't had a cocktail here yet but I'm sure they're great too. Happily noisy and boisterous on the Thursday night I visited when there was a night game at Fenway nearby. I will come back here!!

Thanks to Betty (from Vermont -yeah!!!!) -we had the BEST cocktail experience ever. We told her what we liked and she custom mixed several amazing drinks for us using mescal, amaro and tequila. Their sipping tequilas were off the charts. but the drink with sherry and mezcal was literally off the charts. Deviled eggs with caviar were to DIE for.... More

We stopped in after a game. My husband had a good wine, and I had their own version of baileys in coffee to warm up. A very intimate and fairly dark location, you wouldn't know you were in Kenmore Square. Will bring friends next time.

The space is nice but you feel a little uncomfortable walking in without a reservation, even as a hotel guest. The waitress was very efficient but not warm and friendly. Its a place to be seen but not as relaxing as Eastern Standard so choose by the vibe that you are looking for.

What more could one ask for? A great commitment to Customers, Cocktails and Creativity🍸. Bonuses - Great location, an unbelievably friendly Hawthorne team and very fair prices. Looking forward to returning soon.

Great bar with a good selection both pre-game and as part of the hotel. Beware if you are a hotel patron, post-game will be tight if you don't have a reservation.

Calling this place a "bar" feels a little wrong, because it is really upscale. No tvs, no sports theme, no crappy bar food. They take reservations! And they basically serve drinks and things to complement the drinks. We did not have reservations, and so were asked if we would be willing to stand, which we were. They set us up... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
