We come here every time we are in Boston. Love the sweet entrees for breakfast. Especially waffles and pancakes with all the fun extras on the side. They have great sides like avocado slices and bacon. Good coffee and friendly service. The eggs were overdone and were not prepared as we requested.

Went for a quick Saturday lunch with friends and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was nice and the service was average, but the real star is the chocolate. The menu has a pretty typical variety of food along with a number of chocolate concoctions- hot chocolate, chocolate cocktails, and an expansive dessert menu. I had the Mexican Spicy Hot chocolate,... More

Great for chocolate drinks and dessert ... And that's about it. The rest of the food is decent but way over priced. For instance $17 for a burger.. the burger should be really good and the place should be very clean. Unfortunately the burger is just good and the tables and chairs are sticky. If most of what you make... More

Not enough time to try the food but a handy chocolate shop on site. Unobtrusive service to the extent of not being offered a menu!

Second time here and once again, it's one of these places that does not make you want to write either a great or a bad review simply because it's just our there in the middle . Good for a hot chocolate or some sweet bite but not inspiring other than that.

Max Brenner was recommended to us as a chocolate place and as a european i am always dubious, but we headed off there deliberately for some outrageous chocolatelyness. They do some very interesting things, like the kangaroo cup which melts chocolate on the side of your coffee - had to have that. The first time my cappuccino came up, it... More

While the food here is consistently good, the service has deteriorated to the point that servers are obnoxious.

Who would have thought the combo of a savory waffle with shaved steak and cheese could be so good... the side of waffle fries and onion rings were just enough to compliment this delightful sandwich. Too full for dessert but the table next to us had a fondue that was amazing - next time. Service was attentive and our waiter... More

We stopped in for Sunday brunch. We waited over 15 minutes to be greeted by our server. The table that sat after us was given drinks and delivered their meal before us. Luckily, we were not in a rush. The food was decent and the atmosphere was fun. I think we would consider returning during a less busy time of... More

Max Brenner, Chocolate by the Bald Man, the first restaurant entirely devoted to chocolate, provides a "chocolate mood:" a person being surrounded by huge bricks, candles, pralines, colorful toy tins and crates filled with cocoa beans. Each person"s chocolate experience is exclusive to the individual as it brings out different emotions in each and every person. This can be experienced at our retail shop and dining room. In addition to our unique chocolate, we also offer delicious savory foods. Whether it is our famous Brenner Burger or Mac & Cheese, there will be something for everyone in the group!

Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
