Without a reservation, we were seated immediately at the bar (wait for a table was 45 minutes). The service was fast, our waitress was pleasant and helpful. The food was amazing! We ordered lobster ravioli and a gnocchi dish in a cheese and tomato sauce...both were hot and flavorful. They don't have a dessert menu, but we were given a... More

We are here because every other restaurant in the north end seamed to have a wait and we had plans to take a city lights tour. We settled on eating at the bar (which my boyfriend and I almost never do) and boy were we sure glad we did. We split two pizzas, the vodka classic and the spukone! I... More

Prior to my first weekend getaway to Boston, I was recommended to basically "Eat anywhere in North End and you'll be in great shape." After wandering around for a little while and looking at many menu's, I stumbled across Benevento's. We ate at the bar seating, which was very roomy in terms of a bar. The bartenders were very helpful... More

My wife and were on our way to Pizzeria Regina, and the aroma from Benevento's caught us so we decided to give them a try. Our waitress patiently described each of their artisan pizzas. We decided on a Spukone (Sweet Italian sausage, ricotta cheese, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil). My wife isn't a sausage fan, so we asked they... More

If you venture away from Hanover Street in North End, you will find amazing food and even better service and atmosphere. We were there on a summer Sunday evening and all restaurants had long waits. Walking by benevento's the host said he could accommodate us. Extremely helpful staff and curtious waitress. Josephine. She made a tremendous difference in our pleasant... More

We traveled to the area to eat at Al Dente but they asked if we had reservations. We did not. Looked inside and they had plenty of empty tables. Thought that was odd but right next door was Beneventos. It was real tight for a table for two but the food made up for it. Excellent quality and very fresh... More

Our goal was to have a great Italian meal in the North End. Found a promising review for Al Dente and walked there. Unfortunately, they were full. They did, however, recommend Benevento's next door, which they said they also own. Benevento's had seating immediately available. The seating area is along the wall and opposite the food preparation area but clean,... More

Had a great Spukone pizza for lunch after a visit to the Old North Church. This restaurant has a great atmosphere in the North End and affordable prices.

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
