We had 8:30 reservations and arrived at 8. There were three of us and we waited at the bar and then chose to eat there instead of at a table. Typical north end place where tables are crowded in. Good drinks at the bar. Sangria was too sweet for me, but other guest loved it. Expresso martini is great! I... More

Went here for our trip to the North End for a nice Italian dinner. My wife and oldest daughter are GF and my little one and I are not. Call them up on a Tuesday night and was told come on down, no waiting at 7pm. We took a Lyft from our hotel in Cambridge and got there at 7:10pm... More

We popped in here on a Saturday night for a drink while we were waiting for a table at another restaurant. We never left! We had a great seat at the bar and the bartender was enjoyable to chat with. The food was DELICIOUS! We started off with the bruschetta. It was perfect. I had the bolognese and the best... More

Had reservations at Al Dente but when we showed up we were able to walk into Beneventos next door. Spoiler alert, they are owned by the same person and it's the same good so if you don't want to wait for Al Dente you can just go here. The place is tiny so we were crammed in and the service... Ended up here after several other places had a wait of over an hour. It was quite full but after some suggestions from us they were able to accommodate us in the main floor (don't go to the basement, it's next to the toilet and kitchen and smelled badly). We order a starter with eggplant, ricotta and tomato sauce which... More

We were able to walk in for dinner on a Tuesday night. Lobster ravioli was our appetizer, then we each had entrees as well as drinks. They gave us complimentary Lemoncello shots too. Generous servings gave us 2 meals for 1.

Great food but the service is horrible .also is very crowded all of the time. It's a great atmosphere to hang out and have some pasta or pizza but the wait staff is rude and unpleasant. I went here for my 21st birthday and was given a hard time about my license because I had my original one and the... More

I called about a day before, Thursday, to see if reservations can be had. It was Columbus day weekend and knew it would be busy. I was able to make reservations for 18 people!! They called me early Friday to see if it was still on and I said we were down to 14. By the time we go to... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
