This is a good place to sit outside and people watch while enjoying a drink as it's right next to Quincy Market and Faneuil Market. Happy Hour is a little different than in California where they discount the drinks and the bar food offerings, here its only the food and not the drinks. The food offerings were inventive, reasonably priced... More

A great restaurant, excellent menu, but the crab Mac and cheese is definitely to die for - and I hate that phrase!!

A friend who had gone to college in Boston recommended this restaurant to us. Our experience was not good. Obviously things have changed since she was a student. The location is extremely well placed and interior quite cosy, although it's a large restaurant with seating on two floors. If you take a booth be prepared that you may not be... More

Good wine list and fresh fish... What else does one need? The staff is pleasant and the menu is diverse. We had stuffed lobster and fried butterfly shrimp, both excellent. Make a reservation as they get busy. Plan to spend some time as they aren't in a rush. If a nice relaxing evening is what you are looking for, this... More

We had been out for the day with friends for the day and decided to have dinner here. We are all in our late 40s and were dressed casually..they sat us upstairs out of the way and I couldn't help feeling they didn't like the fact that both men were dressed in shorts. Nonetheless lovely food and the waiters quickly... More

Everything was great, from the welcoming attitude to the location including the refinement and taste of the meal. One thing though, make sure your glassware, silverware and dish ware is clean. Maybe I was just unlucky!

Love Faneuil Hall and hot summer days I like relaxing and people watching. However after a day at the spa celebrating my mom's 50th wedding anniversary we opted for the cool air conditioning. The waitress was very cheerful and mom and my dinners were quite good. My sister had crab cakes which were cold, but when they promptly corrected it.... More

I stopped in on my first day in Boston. I forgot to check tripadvisor first (big mistake). Server was very nice, but the overall service was pretty slow. Looking around, there were 10+ employees walking around, but only 1 waiter. I ordered the clam chowder. It came out luke-warm and was nothing special. I also ordered the ribeye. It came... More

It took about 20 minutes for our waitress to get to our table. I noticed other people having a problem trying to flag their waitress down too. When our food arrived it was cold, not very happy!

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
