We went here for breakfast on our last AM in town. We got there just after the switch to lunch. We ate out on the patio. The burger choices and rice bowl were both very good. Their buttermilk biscuits should be ordered with any visit. The service was very good. The patio is fairly shaded which was good in the... More

Everyone from the manager to the bus person was top notch, Jackie and Sabrina are the best servers in Boston hands down. Darcy might be a close third. Food and drinks are great, but the people are what keep me coming back to the MET.

We loved the food! I ordered the filet I believe it was 27$. It came perfectly cooked and tender. The large side dish of mash potatoes that accompanied it was fantastic. Best ever! I made the mistake of allowing my dinner guest to try them! Which led to having to share them! I also ordered a side of broccoli which... More

This restaurant has a really lovely basement terrace, not sure what inside is like. We had walked past the previous day and the food looked good so we stopped in for lunch. Really great, friendly prompt service. Good menu, lots of salad options as well as burgers. My husband chose a burger (obviously!!) and I ordered a green guru salad.... More

The highlight of the evening were the hoisin scallion pancake rolls, they were deep fried like an egg roll which was unexpected and delicious! They have a great wine list ranging from affordable options, to one of my favorites, The Prisoner for an amazing price of $70 per bottle. Its a must try at that price!

We were pleasantly surprised to find MET Back Bay as a reasonably priced restaurant in the Newbury district. The food was very creative and delicious - so many salads and sandwiches to choose from! The one exception was my husband's fish tacos which were only "okay". Portions were generous and service was generally very good, but could have been more... More

Came for drinks only, late in the afternoon on a Saturday in August. We were told the outdoor patio was for those ordering at least one entree per person. We sat inside in the bar area. The Bloody Marys were excellent, the service was great and the atmosphere is really cool. We would definitely give it a shot for lunch... More

The large patio on Newbury Street pulled us in. Great people watching here, and the service was very pleasant as well. The menu is varied and nice, and the food is very good. But what stood out here were the size of the portions. The pastas were large and really flavorful. The appetizers we had were also very large, and... More

Met back bay has some of the best salads. I love their Green Guru salad. The avocado toast as an appetizer is a must. If you want a great meal in boston this is the place to go.

My husband and I enjoyed a nice breakfast. The captain crunch French toast was surprisingly delicious! I appreciated that it wasn't overwhelming. The bread was very thick and covered with fresh berries. I loved the strawberries, but not a huge fan of the other berries. I also ordered a side of crisp potatoes, they were a bit large and not... Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
