We ate breakfast at Boston Common twice during our stay. It was close to our hotel. Service was great! Breakfast sandwiches were made fresh and pastries were great.

Nice place, but a bit dark. The Flat white was really good, and I also sampled the brand new cold brew nitro coffee, recommended.

I get that they want to give the place a "cool" feel, but it was almost too fancy to be enjoyable. Hubby and I stopped here for breakfast. We each had a croissant with ham and cheese. It's like they tried too hard. It shouldn't be this complicated.

I ordered a fruit cup and 12 oz Iced Chai and it was $9..... Thankfully the chai was delicious so I couldn't complain but their prices are a bit high. I went to the one on Canal street in the North end and it was surprisingly large in terms of seating.

Stopped in for a breakfast bite - the cranberry orange scone was really soft and sweet, but tasty. The true star was the veggie burrito - really yummy!

Great americano and delicious chai latte. The food was good and loved the muffin tops...MUFFIN TOPS! The blueberry was a little sweet for my taste but the pumpkin one I could eat for days.

Sandwiches were only OK. Out-of-towners would probably find them a poor value. You have to move back and forth along the counter to order, pay for and get your food and beverages. The help does not see fit to explain the goofy setup. Unless you are desperate for a cup of coffee, I'd say stay away.

The service was lacking and slightly pretentious and I had the longest wait ever for coffee even though there were only a few people in front of me. I ordered a double shot and it was so weak and milky. Overall not my choice for good coffee.

Once you get past the awkward entrance, securing a spot is relatively easy (for the neighborhood). Typically, the people taking your order couldn't care less if they get it right, but once you do get your food, it's not bad.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
