We went to ICOB on a Sunday night with a group of 6 people. The service was amazing, they were very attentive and helpful, willing to explain anything on the menu. Drinks were great, beer selection on point, cocktails and mixed drinks delicious and well balanced. This was my first time having oysters....I am glad I waited! Incredibly fresh and... More

We couldn't make up our mind as to which oysters we should have so they bought us a selection - they were delicious. We also had salmon tartare and the crab cakes both of which were also excellent. I ordered a buttermilk biscuit out of curiosity - it was divine but should really be on the dessert menu, however that... More

I love lobster rolls. I've eaten many lobster rolls over the years and I think I know what makes a good one. I only eat the CT variety -- warm lobster drizzled in melted butter (no mayo). It's soooo easy to prepare -- one expects an EXCELLENT lobster roll at a place like this. I could have forgiven the too... More

Had a quick dinner before billy joel. Had shrimp cocktail (huge and cooked perfect) and raw oysters. Both were the best I think I have ever had. The mignonette sauce was exceptional and complemented the oysters well. Would highly recommend this for raw bar anytime and cant wait to return.

Reviews for the seafood, especially oysters were so good that we took a chance, rode the green line to Kenmore and found ourselves right across from Island Creek. We immediately sat at the bar, and we're greeted by AJ who handed us the menu featuring regional oysters, and educated us on their qualities. Around us were happy people experiencing these... More

Excellent oysters and seafood, not to mention the delicious cocktails. Great location in Kenmore Square around the corner from Fenway Park.

Reviews were great for this restaurant, and it was inside our Hotel Commonwealth. Food was not good; we had lobster rolls. They were very expensive and not tasty! My granddaughter had oysters for the first time, and she did enjoy them.

We love this place! Spectacular oysters, bluefish and cod at our table. We changed hotels so we could have dinner here.

My son and I were doing college visits in Boston. I searched for restaurants nearby and found this little gem. I was tired of fast, lower end food. The food and service at ICOB was awesome. It is a high end restaurant but it is worth it in my opinion. They have a great wine, beer and spirit collection as... More

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to a packed house but were able to grab a couple of seats at the bar. Our servers were very pleasant and attentive. We ordered oysters and then lobster rolls and everything was delicious! I would recommend reservations in advance as this place is popular. The decor is really lovely with with walls of... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
