One of the better known Southern Chinese food restaurant in Boston. The food suppose to be authentic, yet to my surprise, they did add some of the North American flavors into the dishes. It is nice in certain way, and that is all I can say about it. The service is very local Chinese restaurant. The price is very reasonable

Good food and service for party of 10 adults. We ordered 8 dishes, soup, rice. Most dishes were veggies, one chicken dish, one noodle dish, one mou shu (sp?) Our friend paid so I can’t comment on cost, but people from different backgrounds we all enjoyed our meals and shared family style on the large lazy Susan. Definitely going back.

If you like to have family dinner or after clubbing late night snacks this is the restaurant that will fulfill your satisfaction . Authentic food and good services . It’s been one of the stomping ground in Chinatown for years .

We happened upon this restaurant during the early dinner hour. We were accompanied by our two young grandsons who are voracious eaters. We ordered sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, beef and vegetable and fried rice. No white rice cones with the meal. The restaurant was empty and very clean. Our " dinner plates" were dessert plates so if your plate had six bites of something, the plate was full. The only dish we could eat was the beef. The other two were inedible. The meat was very chewy and seemed to have been leftover from lunch and heated in a microwave. The rice was passable. Needless to say, we left at least 75% of the meal and took no doggie bags. The waiter had little affect and never checked on our satisfaction. Very detached. The more I think about what we spent on that terrible meal, the angrier I get. Total waste of money. My husband dined there regularly when he worked in Boston and limed the food. No longer!

I’m not sure where to start to be honest. The internal decor is basic at best. We were served by several waiters, only one of which bothered to smile, the rest were indifferent or rude. The woman working the till area was surly, rude, shouty, and we saw her chase one customer out of the restaurant demanding a bigger tip. The food was just ok, the rice was nice enough but the noodles tasteless and the orange chicken was barely recognisable as chicken - over cooked and chewy. While we were eating, one employee dragged a large dirty cart full of rubbish and waste through the middle of the restaurant, emptied it somewhere out front, then walked the filthy cart back through the restaurant. When we tried to pay, the restaurant said we couldn’t use our credit card because it was issued in Europe, despite being a universal MasterCard that we have used extensively throughout the US. We saw them do this to a couple at the next table too, and the man had to walk to an ATM to get the money to pay while the woman waited. They asked us to pay cash (funny that) so we gave them $80 for a $64 meal in payment. By this time we were fed up with the appalling service so did something we would never usually do, asked for $5 change, feeling like a $10 tip was plenty - certainly more than the service deserved! But when the waiter went to get it at the till, the shouty lady started shouting about how we shouldn’t be given our change and stomped out to the back of the restaurant, and did not return! The waiter eventually came back with our change and we left to evil stares from staff. Honestly this place is dreadful in every way possible. Do yourself a favour and eat elsewhere. The food, service and environment are all awful!

My wife and I were walking around Chinatown and stumbled across this place. There’s a bunch of tanks full of crabs, lobsters, eels, fish, and all sorts of other seafood right at the front. We got some wonton soup, beef with vegetables, and frog with vegetables. It all tasted great. The frog freaked me out a little though, as it wasn’t de-boned at all. Ha!

Many years after Lucky Dragon turned into Grand Chau Chau then burnt down and reappeared as Bubor Cha Cha, we found a great seafood restaurant in Chinatown complete with live seafood tanks that make all the difference. We happened on this place looking for a late night bite; ravenously hungry after a long flight to Boston. The restaurant was pretty full given the time and the friendly (bonus for Chinatown) staff welcomed us. We ordered a hot and sour soup, dry fried shrimp with salt and pepper, a fried barramundi and beef with black bean. Each dish was spot on the way we prefer down to the chilli oil which was a zesty melee of charred goodness without too much oil. The food was licked clean from the plates and the only reason we did not go for a second round was the very late hour. We are planning to go back tonight.

Too busy and staff could not cope. Had to get waiters attention after 35mins to put our order in. Food came at different times and was very, very average, card machine would not work for payment so had to go and get cash not handy at all. Would not recommend at all

Truly unbelievable that this great restaurant is open from 11 AM To 3AM . You will be overwhelmed with all the choices offered on the menu! My daughter and I chose only 2 dishes -orange beef and Singapore rice noodles with veggies. I truly believed that we would never finish our dishes, but we did. They were busy on a Thursday night with many locals. Highly recommend this place.

Dreadful food, tasteless and overpriced. Half Peking Duck was 38 dollars, no price on the menu. It was undercooked. Hot and sour soup was beyond terrible. From slimey chicken to bland and salty. Do yourself a favour and pick anywhere else. Worst meal in Boston by a long shot.

We were clearly not welcome here. It appeared that our arriving there was a problem for the staff when deciding where to seat us. Maybe it’s because the restaurant is not set up for two people but for larger groups only. We were seated alone at a table for eight. It was lovely to see the local residents meeting in groups of families and close friends. Cute kids and lots of joy. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. Oddly, nobody made eye contact with us the whole time, including the staff. We started to feel like we shouldn’t have been there. The staff did not speak to us even when we were on the way out. We got the runs early the next morning. I hope that was a coincidence. Great place for locals and they have plenty of patrons. I wish we had read the situation a little better before sitting down. It’s just something I’ve not experienced before except when my girlfriends met up at a gay bar in the 70’s.

Truly a hidden gem. The entrance is at #18. Tasty and flavourful dishes, kind and friendly staff. Of course we made the mistake of forgetting how large the portions are here. Highly recommended.

Lived in Boston in the late 90's, and went to Jade Garden, was happy to see that it's still here in 2022. There is a reason it has lasted. When we went, there were lots of locals there as well, who clearly knew the star, which is always a promising sign. Delicious traditional Chinese food. Highly recommend. Authentic and delicious. Large selection. Fast service.

I got the chicken in cashew nut. The chicken was grey and slimy. My friends got the sweet and sour sauce. The chicken was wrapped in a thick batter. It was disgusting. The best thing I got was the Diet Coke. Will not be returning.
