Meal is priced very fairly but portions are small. Neiman steak was fine for my companion, but my halibut was very small, as were the desserts. Service hit a lull where we sensed they forgot us, but companion liked the creativity of her dishes.

Came here in June with 4 other guys and we thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu. It was reasonably priced and each item was more delicious than the next. They even accommodated my friend who doesn't eat meat and replaced his meat dishes with fish ones instead. Highly recommend

We decided to try out Deuxave for our anniversary dinner on 26 April and were very, very happy to do so. The reviews have been excellent and the restaurant meets the high expectations very well. My wife had a heirloom beet salad (one of her favorites) and proclaimed it one of the best she had. I had a ham ravioli... More

Contemporary food in a lovely setting! Staff were very friendly and is only a short walk from Boston centre! Restaurant is perfect for a special occasion! If we were to visit again would try the chef's tasting menu as we observed other diners who had this option and the food looked lovely and to be a variety!

what a wonderful dining experience. by far and away one of the best restaurants in boston. the salad with duck confit, french onion soup, herb crusted halibut, and strip steak were all delicious. the environment is serene and sophisticated. finally, the service excellent - the right balance of attentive and friendly.

Went here based on the ratings. Has a very nice outside seating area on the corner under the trees. Found the service to be good and attentive. We had a few nice cocktails that were well done. We had 3 dishes, fish, steak and chicken. All of them were really plain. Found that the garnish and the extras were ok,... More

Wonderful birthday dinner in July. Lovely outside seating, sensational and original food, good advice on wine, efficient service...it was everything you hope a celebratory dinner will be. Duck is the specialty and both paté and foie gras were wonderful, but don't ignore the humble chicken.

Went with my husband for dinner ... made a reservation for a window seat and we got exactly that! Fast service. All the food that we ordered was delicious and presented artistically. Good selection on menu including for dessert. If you are looking for a great romantic meal, where you'll like to dress up ... this is a great location.... More

We booked this restaurant for a business dinner based on recommendations from friends and the Zagat rating. The location and the ambiance are great and the service was very good. We sat in the courtyard and had a very enjoyable evening. We shared three appetizers and liked them all, particularly the heirloom beets. The emphasis is on seafood; therefore, two... More

Chris Coombes and team are magic. My wife and I attended an E Guigal wine pairing dinner last night, and it was easily one of the top five dining experiences I've had globally. If you're a serious foodie living or visiting Boston, you've got to go here. Expensive, no question. But the creativity, quality and company are unmatched in my... More

Co-Owners Brian Piccini, Executive Chef Christopher Coombs & General Manager/Sommelier Jason Irving are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant's American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave's (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
