Good music, and food for a late night date. The catfish need to be cooked a little more and not under cooked. The atmosphere is great.

I was excited to make reservations at Darryl's for my birthday. My friends ranted and raved about the Sunday Jazz brunch. Of course, I went on a Saturday evening and the performance scheduled was an R&B band. Still looking forward to the evening, I arrived early. My companion and I take a seat and order wings as appetizers. I was... More

So I happen to stumble across this nice jazzy restaurant in Boston. The host and waiter was really nice, it was a nice clean restaurant. They had a special chef in town from New Orleans and the food was to die for. Turkey neck, red beans and rice, and surf in turf had me in heaven!

We were unable to make it there during the week for dinner and decided to go for Sunday brunch. The food was excellent,( we are still talking about the fried chicken), the atmosphere was very cool & relaxed. We enjoyed the music that was playing and the staff was very nice & attentive. I think if you are going here... More

Arrived on a Friday eve around 6:40 and was greeted by a wonderful hostess. I did not have a reservation and she advised me that due to the live music if I sat @ a table $5 would be added to my tab. I was alone and opted to sit at the bar. I was promptly given water but never... More

Fantastic night! Great food and music- loved the atmosphere .. Definite recommend for date night or group fun. Chicken and waffles were a favorite and don't miss the wings!

Great spot to meet a friend from out of town. We realized we were both in Boston at the same time. Great food and service. The live music was great, but sort of made it impossible for us to chat. Fun spot though!

What a wonderful restaurant bar tucked in the back side of Berkeley. My Husband took me here for my Birthday and I was not disappointed. The placed was packed and even though we had a reservation we had to wait. We didn't mind as there was a band playing. It is a tiny venue. The food was well prepared. Expect... More

Had some amazing cocktails and appetizers while we enjoyed the most interesting combo of bass, drum and harp jazz! It's an intimate place with good service and live music. Very fun!

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
