The restaurant is small and you will likely have to wait but it is well worth it. The food is straightforward, traditional Italian and DELICIOUS. The prices are more than reasonable and the wine list is good. HIGHLY recommend.

We had no reservations but got there right after 4pm and were the first customers. By the time we finished the place was full with people waiting. The bread is to die for. The house salad was nothing but lettuce and considered it the weakest part of the meal. I had Chicken parm as my usual yardstick for Italian and... More

We were just arriving into the City after a 7 hour car ride. Famished! The worst part was finding a parking place on the street! But found one after about 15 minutes. We walked in without a reservation and got the last table. It was packed at 8pm on a Monday night which really says something! The restaurant is small... More

This is our first time at Panza. Good thing we arrived early. As soon as we sat down and ordered, the place got slammed and a line formed outside.. the food was amazing! Great service! The beef rib was out of this world...

Poor first impression as we arrived a couple minutes past five (opening time) and several people were standing outside. I figured a staff member would open the door and usher us in shortly. After a few more minutes one group just tried the door and walked in, and the rest of us followed. Not sure how much longer we would... More

Had the chance to go there for dinner last night and it was an absolutely amazing dining experience. I would highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time as the restaurant doesn't have many tables to go around. The atmosphere in there is very similar to the restaurants in Europe with each tables being so close to one another and... More

Unfortunately, quite disappointing. Canned mushrooms, packaged Parmesan cheese, no dessert 😩 Nothing authentic about this Italian cuisine.

Went here for lunch. FABULOUS !!!! We sat in the back by the kitchen. Most people wouldn't like this but I LOVED it. Loved watching the chefs in motion. Had the calamari and mussels for an appetizer. SOOO GOOD. And the bread !!! Then we shared the pasta carbonara. EXCELLENT !!!! A nice bottle of wine and a great server.... More

I took my mom here for her birthday and we both enjoyed the experience. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We did not feel rushed. Our meals were great. There was a large selection of both wine and food to choose from. It opens at 4 pm. I recommend eating here but definitely make a reservation!

Thank Kim N

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
