Three of us has a delightful dinner at Panza on a Thursday night. Made reservations earlier in the evening and avoided the line for seating. The service was friendly and attentive. Food was genuinely special. Ambiance was casual upscale. Beautiful weather and open windows didn't hurt the experience, either.

We stopped in here for a late lunch based on TA recommendations and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was great. Be warned, their portions are large. My wife had Chicken Caccitore and I had the baked zitti. Both dishes were great. And the bread they serve on the side was also very... More

During my brief visit to Boston I really wanted to eat some good Italian pasta. After a short search I found this place. It has an a very good penne amatriciana. It also has a great street view and is reasonably priced.

Want to avoid the high prices of some of Boston North End restaurants? Panza's, to which we go about 6-8 times a year, offers constantly good food and service. Pluses: The food is consistently good. Wines complement the food well. Minuses: Even with reservations we've had to wait. Small place so you can end up sitting in spots where you... More

It was great. Food just divine, real Italian so much so you would swear you were in Italy. Waiter enthusiastic. We all chose a couple of appetisers to share and then pasta to die for. Please go there you will not be disappointed. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but so worth it.

We gave this place a try (without reservations) on busy Labor Day weekend. There was a wait at all the restaurants but they squeezed us in after about 15 minutes. It's a small operation open at the front to Hanover St. and a view in the back of the kitchen. The food was fantastic with generous portions. The chopped salad... More

Service was good here but it was very small on the inside and loud so you have to pretty much yell to your date for them to hear you. The bus boy was sloppy with the water and spilt it on my girls shirt and over the table. Only had to wait 30 min without reservations. Food was phenomenal as... More

Decided to try this restaurant for lunch as our family was walking around Little Italy. We were not disappointed!! Great selection of entrees and they allowed half portions of pasta for our smaller children. We tried the raviolis, linguine and gnocchi. The mozzarella and tomato salad was excellent! Service was excellent and the food was not too pricey.

We went in for a somewhat early dinner as we had missed lunch. The fresh bread is fantastic and the food came out in a timely fashion. I had gnocchi with a Bolognese sauce wonderful, my husband had Panza Chicken which is sautéed chicken with sundried tomatoes, spinach and pine nuts and it was excellent . I would go back.... More

Went here in June and enjoyed our food and service. So many suggestions from the server and food was great. He knew about each dish I asked about. Will definitely be back end of summer. Wish I lived closer so as to be a frequent diner :(

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
