The food was good while not being outstanding. The portions were generous and the price quite reasonable. My veal parmigiana was rather large actually but did not include any vegetables. The risotto was somewhat ordinary. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was not very good as it was rather warm. I was worry when we entered as there... More

Our family of four (including our toddler) happened to stumble upon this restaurant during our time in the north end. The restaurant was able to accomodate our vegetarian selections and the dishes were very tasty. The boy pouring the water was very attentive and the atmosphere friendly. Wonderful family experience overall.

The bruschetta is a must get to start. We had delicious seafood and beef dishes. Nice selection of wines.

My wife, cousin and spouse visited this well trafficked North End restaurant, based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and now feel like they may be a little generous. We arrived promptly at our reservation time and didn't wait long to sit, but had to seek out a waiter to sit us since there is no hostess in the front.... More

We chose this place based on others' reviews and were disappointed. The prices are ok, we were seated on time for our reservation, but the food was lackluster. Our waiter came by exactly three times - to take our order, drop off the bill, and to bring back our change. Portions are huge, which I guess is great if you're... More

You are thoroughly spoilt for choice of good Italian restaurants in the north end, this one certainly fits the bill! Superb service, attentive but not over the top and the food was divine! Huge potions which they will happily box up for you for later. It's on my top Boston list!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. If you decide to go here beforehand, make reservation first. The wait is very long if you go after 5:30 pm. We were lucky and only waited 20 minutes without reservations. The food tasted just right...no salt needed. I loved the braised short ribs...fall off the bone tender!!!

This is the essence of a wonderful Italian family restaurant. Our entrees were all dubbed as fantastic, we had the potato gnocchi bolognese, veal Panza, and seafood risotto. You could taste the freshness and the delicate seasoning with love. Service was gracious, efficient and engaging. All making for a wonderful evening. Amid the many restaurant choices in the North End,... More

Our hotel concierge recommended this place on the North End for dinner. The place is small and can be noisey, but the food was wonderful. I had the linguine with the white clam sauce and my husband had the eggplant Parmesan. Both were very tasty and the clams were a good size. Service was great and the staff was friendly.... More

Panza is in the middle of the "North End", an Italian nighborhood, just north of downtown and on the Freedom Walk. Seating is limited to about 80 people and this place is very popular, even mid-week, so get reservations. I liked the calamari appetizer - perfectly cooked, with some a nice spicy sauce highlight. My wife love the mussels which... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
