not awful by hotel restaurant standards on price, but you could walk 50 yards and eat at 20 other choices.

Dear Critic, We appreciate you not walking the 50 yards to the other 20 choices, and for dining at N26 Restaurant and Bar! As for our pricing, we've already visited each of those other options and our pricing is in line so that our guests do not need to waste their precious family or business time seeking alternatives. As well,... More

Dear Visitor, We love to see guests post a response days after their visit as it says it was memorable, so thank you! Our current specials, Lobster Dinner for $20 and $1 Oysters are a huge success and both support local fisherman, a win-win for everyone. And, these specials run well into the fall, so we hope to see you... More

I wanted a quiet lunch instead of bumping elbows with 100s of people at Quince Market, when I spied North 26, the restaurant in the Millennium Bostonian Hotel across the street. It was quiet and air conditioned, which was enough for me! The servers were attentive and did not rush me. The food was very good and the sorbet was... More

Dear Guest, Quiet, cool, great food and wonderful service, all the ingredients for a peaceful escape from the summer tourist extravaganza! Thank you for crossing the street and enjoying N26 Restaurant and Bar. I agree that our sorbet is special, having had it just few times, and we hope that you will visit again in the near future. We stayed at the Bostonian and had dinner at North 26. The food was AMAZING! The gluten free cheese ravioli with grilled chicken was SO GOOD. My partner says I'm usually indifferent to my food, and he was excited to see me react so enthusiastically to a meal. He gad steak, potatoes and grilled asparagus. Our drinks were yummy (try... This summers' new drink special, the Prosecco Pop has been a big hit and very yummy on a hot summer day, or not. And, we make the popsicles in house and offer a variety of flavors. The atmosphere is warm with locals and out-of-towners all mixing in. The drinks are heavy handed so there is good value and Mike has been behind the bar here for years. He is a wonderful person with lots of local knowledge.

Dear Jack, Happy to hear of your experience as a guest at N26 Bar, and I will pass along your comments to Mike. Many of our team have been with the hotel for 10+ years, or longer, as Mike has been with the hotel since 1997 and is a near historian on Boston. He, along with many of our staff,... More

Although I never had steak and eggs before, I knew I wanted to try it when I saw a 4 oz. Filet Mignon with two eggs any style on the menu. So glad I did. One of the best breakfasts I've had. Home fries and toast came with the meal. Highly recommend! Service was great. Enjoyed views of Quincy Marketplace.

Was recommended by a local Bartender, we tried it and were very surprised at the overall experience. Small room, all glass with a smaller bar. They run a special several days a week, $25 Whole Lobster, cup of delicious chowder, ear of corn red skins and fresh bread. Went back on our last night was equally as good..rest of the... More

This restaurant is in the Bostonian Hotel. It has a very chic look but the service was very poor. Wait staff was nice/friendly but somewhat incompetent. We ordered an appetizer - croquet - that was still frozen in the middle. They replaced it but the new one was still only lukewarm. They did not even comp us the appetizer. Since... More

Dear Hilton Loyal Guest, Thank you again for posting your concerns on both our main site and North 26, and my apology is again extended. We do not look at any guest concern as a 'why bother' as with this approach we would not have remained a prominent Boston hotel since 1982. Clearly an error was made by our culinary... More

The food was pretty good and the price was entirely acceptable. The decor is beautiful and the location is great - it feels like it has a lot of potential. However, service was distinctly sub-par. The waitress had absolutely no knowledge about the menu and when I asked questions, she just re-read the description from the menu. She was noticeably... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
