Overall I have nothing much to say about this place. That being said, its nice enough to sit inside on a warm day when they have the windows open. It opens right onto Dot Ave so it can get a bit noisy. Servers were nice....The food was unremarkable. I got a chicken sandwich and it tasty pretty much like nothing.More

The food is good, our server Mary was knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming, and the portions are good. There is hard cider on draft (my favorite).

Went here with friends before a movie. Menu is very different. In addition to a vegan menu, the main menu means strongly to vegetarian. Our friends liked their food, my wife and I did not. My vegetable panini was beyond bland. Service was adequate but...a bit amateurish. Restaurant decor was nice.More

I always love a good pot pie and was willing to pay the 20$ price tag to try it. At that price I was expecting it to be out of this world. It may have been the worst pot pie I have ever had. It...was flavorless, dry and a 2$ portion size. I have literally had better pot pies from the frozen section of the local grocery store.More

I rarely give bad reviews, but need to this time, as we felt we were totally ripped off based on the size of our bill. At the recommendation of a friend, we headed for Lower Falls Tavern for dinner and were greatly disappointed in all...but the service, which was above average on a busy Saturday nite. The food was expensive with a $25 bolognese pasta dish, where I felt I was paying for mostly the parpadelle pasta as they skimped on the tasty meat sauce. But, the real let-down was what they called a "chicken pot pie" for $20. For $20 it should have fed both of us, but my 110 pound wife even felt she got skimped on here, along with the fact it had an unusual taste profile. And, the chicken in the dish, and there was very little of that, was shredded to a point it had the texture of string cheese. That dish was as bad a disaster as I have seen in years. If this is the type of food and presentation the restaurant serves we will not be back, particularly at those prices. Worst dining experience in a very long time and we eat out 2-3X/week.More

This is walkable from our home. Great vibe and consistently delicious menu. Menu changes with the season. Always a great burger and a veggie burger on the menu that are hits with my family. We go at least 2 times a month!

I’ve heard many great reviews about Lower Mills Tavern. I met a friend here on a snowy night. The place was mostly empty so we were seated right away. Service was great but the food was just OK. The pizza was underwhelming but my friend...said her burger was perfect. I will give it another try before I write it off.More

I needed to find a quick bite to eat in the early evening and this was a pleasant surprise. I felt like I was in Cheers! All the guests seemed to know each other and were very willing to start up a pleasant conversation with...a stranger. The barmaid Morgan was very gracious as well. Brick oven sausage pizza was very tasty. Glad I found this tavern!More

was pretty good, the food overall was nice and presented well. We were confused by the pork puttanesca which was not at all what we expected. Puttanesca is a sauce not a style of dish that includes cheese and bread, definitely not what it describes....Otherwise the pizza was good, the pork wontons were also good but salty beyond belief. I was excited to try this place, and will be back but it did not deliver.More

The food never disappoints but man the bar service is slow. Second time that we waited over 10 minutes for a beer, and it was late and the place was empty. Bartender chatting with customer sitting at bar and she clearly was not paying attention...to the other customers. But hey, her inattention got me a free beer, because she poured it twice! But back to the food. Always delicious no matter what we order and the wait staff is great! We will always come back again and again!More

We were there at lunch, and it was relatively low, even with a TV on and a 4-5 people at the bar. Not sure how it would be with a packed house.
