In Boston area, I'm getting quite a view venues which show English PL soccer games. This is one of my favourites, having a good atmosphere, friendly staff and good beer as well as plenty of screens to show the game(s). Ive not notices any particular bias towards a particular team. As a Manchester United fan, one should be careful not... More

We stopped by here for a few beers & quick bar food - Tenders & nachos. Cheaper by a couple of bucks over other bars. V friendly staff, attentive, good crowd. ( wasnt looking for an "irish" bar, just happened upon it ). Would recommend. They stock decent pint bottled cider for that refreshing hot day drink !

Waitress was great she suggested the chicken club over the burger it was fabulous. My friend got the burger it was ok. Our dinners weren't served together which annoys me. And I was done eating by the time his arrived. Never let good fries get cold. 46.00 for 2 dinners and 6 beers. I recommend for friends but not to... More

Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We thought the entrees and beer were reasonably priced. Would definitely return on another visit to Boston!

I came here on a Thursday night with a buddy of mine for some drinks and food. When I got there, I was told that the upstairs was booked for a private event and downstairs as well, which pretty much left us with the main level, which was already pretty packed and loud. My buddy and I were able to... More

Lir is in a great location, right on Boylston St just a short walk to Fenway Park and an even shorter walk to the PRU. The prices are more than reasonable for a Boston Restaurant/ Bar. The food, although limited menu, is very good. We have had the chance to enjoy 3 or 4 locations in this area and LIR... More

The decor is nice, the service adequate and the food fantastic. I had the club and it was literally the best club sandwich I ever had. My hubby had Dublin Steak Tips which he said were excellent and very reasonably price for the quality and portion. The beer was fresh. I would recommend this restaurant.

I came in with a group on business. We sat in the back at a larger table. It was a little warm being that it was late July and either they don't have A/C or it wasn't working. We all ordered food and drink. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I was afraid that our portions... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
