Fun AND really noisy!

My husband and I met up with friends at the bar. We came on a CRAZY busy night, and loved the lively vibe. And the Shepard's Pie was fantastic. You'll have fun here.

This place is good for a few reasons: 2 floors and very close to Copley and the Prudential Center right on Boylston. Upstairs is a bit cozier with tables and a faux library feel. They are generous with the wine pours :)

Hubby and I came here for a night cap (or two) as it was around the corner. It was a Monday night so it was slow there but bar tender was very attentive and remembered our order. Hubby loves his beer from Connecticut! We had a great experience - great selection of beer and great service!

Went to the pub to watch the rugby semifinal featuring South Africa and New Zealand, we were charged $20 per person to enter, which I thought was a bit steep. Inside the bar was a bit packed and service was not as fast as one would expect. They seemed a bit understaffed for the amount of patrons they had.

Plenty of TV's, beverages and the food was good. Had the beef stew and a Guinness and my wife had the shepard's pie. Sat at the bar and the service was very good. I'd go back for sure.

We didn't expect much but we were wrong. All the food we ordered was great. The steak tips were awesome, the clam chowder, nachos and even the Macaroni and cheese was delicious. Something for everyone in our group of six. Worth a visit. Yum.

I had lunch here with some colleagues while attending a conference around the corner. There were about 12 of us in the group. We had an hour for lunch. Our waitress got our orders to us quickly. We paid our check and were back in time. As for the food, they have a large menu. The shepherd's pie was delicious.... More

I didn't mind paying 20$ to watch a sporting match, but to be told at half time I was going to be kicked out for not buying a drink? Pretty crap really. If you didn't charge me $20, I wouldn't had a meal, and a couple of drinks. They used (I suspect made up) as loitering law, saying if I... More

I was hoping to write a great review but sadly cannot. After e-mailing them from the UK to ask if they were showing the Rugby World Cup they replied they were and to come along. They didn't mention the $20 each charge and this tainted our visit. The Irish gentlemen collecting the money was very rude and simply pointed to... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
