Such a great neighborhood find. michael was awesome and made us feel right at home despite it being a busy night and being short staffed! Homemade orichette was awesome and the eggplant parm was distinctively unique. Don’t skip the tiramisu!

I always hesitate to write a negative review and don’t want to hurt a restaurant. We were told when we made our reservations That we had to be patient because of the staff shortages. They had already changed our reservation from 7:15 to 7:45. When...we got there they were already out of several appetizers. They were out of peas for my husband’s carbonara but he told him he would accept another vegetable Which they did not put in there. Our dinner came at 9:30. I had the pasta and I added the chicken . I got two over done chickens strips. They were out of A lot of desserts. We were so disappointed because I booked this for my birthday and I had told them it was my birthday. Last year when we vacationed here we had such a wonderful experience. Nobody even acknowledged my birthday tonight. One of the other guests sang happy birthday to me which will always be memorable. I know things are hard right now with Covid and staffing. But we live in Amelia island Florida which is also a resort town and we have shortages but nothing ever like this! They never did not even try to compensate at all.More

We had just attended the funeral of our beloved 97 year old aunt. It had been a somber day for us all, but in celebration of a long life, well lived our family chose Chiesa to end our day in Asheville. We chose wisely. From...the greeting smiles to the last bite of dessert, the meal and service were fantastic. Our server, Mateo, was attentive, friendly and very professional. And the food!!! Wow!!! Several in our party order the salmon special with Blueberry compote served on a bed of fettuccine and were rewarded by a perfectly balanced blend of tastes. Those who ordered the “Create your own pasta dish” were equally pleased. Cocktails and wine with our meal were spot on. This is a “must visit” restaurant in Asheville, NC. Come hungry and don’t forget the bread pudding with ice cream and a great cup of coffee.More
Please accept our condolences for the recent loss of your aunt. We are honored that we could serve you after her funeral and be a part of your day.
My favorite restaurant in Ashville when in town, I always try to eat here. Last night was delicious and the service was excellent. We had the Meat Ball app and Pesto with Angel Hair Pasta. Everything was great! We highly recommend this restaurant.
We are honored to be your favorite restaurant in Asheville! We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you in the near future:)
It is hard to find a restaurant with exceptional food and exceptional service. Emily was a knowledgeable server who was very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. Eggplant Parmigiana was best I ever had. Food is fresh and creative. Mushroom Frisée Salad tasted as if it...was picked on the farm just hours before. The outdoor tented area comfortable and completely COVID safe too!! Reserve and plan ahead!! The owner Noel is outstanding restauranteur.More

Very enjoyable evening. It is a very popular restaurant, so as a result, I made reservations for an early time so that we were the first seating. We were seated immediately, and were attended to promptly. My companion ordered the house Caesar and I ordered...the frisee and radicchio salad -- both were excellent. For entrees, she ordered the ravioli and I ordered the carbonara. She judged hers excellent and I really loved mine. Our wait staff was just wonderful. Knowledgeable, pleasant and capable. He often checked in with us, and engaged with us several times. He knew his menu items and his wine. The owner came by to check in with us as well. This is a place that is professional and striving to make their customers happy. I will be recommending it to friends.More

If you look back through my reviews I don’t have any that are really bad. I would have to make an exception for this restaurant. We made a reservation arrived on time and we were seated on time the waitress came over brought us water...and asked us what we would like to drink, she came back a few minutes later because she couldn’t remember what kind of bourbon my husband had asked for. It was at least 15 minutes before we got our drinks. And an hour and 20 minutes before entrées ever arrived. The owner came over and spoke to us while we were waiting for our entrées, He said that service was slow but like everybody else had a hard time getting help and suggested that we buy another drink to wait for it. Pretty amazing, the food was awful my husband‘s pasta was overcooked and did not arrive with sausage in it as the waitress had said it would I had eggplant Parmesan which was four pieces of eggplant over fried stacked together with maybe a teaspoon of mozzarella cheese in the middle of each piece to hold it together by far the worst eggplant I’ve ever had I would not recommend this restaurantMore
This restaurant had good reviews and it took three days to get a reservation. We wanted to experience a special italian dinner and we thought Chiesa would be perfect. The pasta carbonara prepared with angel hair pasta was swimming in a yellow sauce and a...very disappointing dish. Carbonara is a creamy combination of eggs, guanciale or pancetta and cheese and this dish was anything but creamy. The chef needs a new carbonara recipe. I also tasted the italian sausage which was a sausage meatball. The meatball was SO salty and SO dry, I could not eat more than a small bite. Unfortunately our special italian dinner did not live up to the reviews. I would not recommend this restaurant.More

We highly enjoyed this restaurant. Our server (nod to Reed!) was great, which always makes a meal at a restaurant better. We had a bottle of rose and ordered the meatballs as an appetizer. Bread came complimentary. We decided to order 2 main courses to...share. Had we known how big the portions were, we probably would have just shared one. We had the orichette with meat sauce (I found the sauce to be a bit too sweet) and the chicken marsala (sauce was wonderful and the homemade fettucine was amazing). Definitely check it out!!More

You need a reservation at this cute Italian restaurant, but I was traveling alone and happened in just after they opened for the evening, so I got a spot at the bar. The food was delicious, with excellent suggestions by the bartender. The entire staff...was friendly and the atmosphere was fun. The restaurant is located in the Montford historic district, which made it within walking distance from several bed and breakfasts in this charming neighborhood. Highly recommend!More

Lucked up on Chiesa while in Asheville for a weekend break. Absolutely awesome. House made pasta and desserts. Neighborhood gem

quaint neighborhood find in an old renovated church. quite popular place so get a reservation early--it is worth it. Great old world Italian home made pasta and sauce. Wife's eggplant parm was delicious as was my pasta (pick your own type) with red sauce and...meatball. great atmosphere. Owner very friendly and welcoming. Service excellent. Overall a fantastic experience. And you can walk here from downtown Asheville (about 15 minute walk). Good wine selection. Would definitely go back.More

Server was accommodating and actually excellent Food very poor. The house sauce is sweet with no flavor. The shrimp was fishy. The sausage option was a meat ball. The Cesar had no garlic. Very unimpressed. Will not be backMore
