This is the first time in the two and half years where I must contradict the story of a guest and make a comment with no apologies.... Our restaurant is made beautiful, clean and well dressed everyday. We are one of the most unique restaurants...More

Lex 18 in Asheville. This place bills itself as a moonshine bar and jazz club. Actually they make good craft cocktails. It also serves various types of moonshine (very popular with millennials). The food offerings are limited and strange. Live music every night with no...More

This is a themed establishment -- silent movies, costumed employees. Very Turn of the Century. This was a pleasant surprise. Definitely returning on my next trip!

Description
Lex 18 is a fine dining supper club dedicated to curating the beverage, culinary and jazz musical heritage of the Prohibition Era in Southern Appalachia. Our kitchen is dedicated to featuring fresh Appalachian meats, seasonal organic and wild foraged fruits, herbs and vegetables and preparing them with our renown Southern flair. Lex18"s historic bar is stocked with regional moonshines, local beers on tap and a fine selection of wines. Our resident mixologist is constantly perfecting moonshine based craft cocktails. We look forward to seeing you for a romantic supper or for your special small group event at Thomas Wolfe's favorite speakeasy 18 North Lexington Avenue, Asheville, North Carolina. We are open Tuesday - Sunday, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for our lunch/brunch from 11:30AM-2PM. From 1907 to 1922 our restaurant was the famous speakeasy Eureka Saloon mentioned in Thomas Wolfe's novel Look Homeward Angel.
