Cornerstone I feel is one of the most overlooked restaurants in Asheville,NC.I moved here from Wilmington NC a definite seafood town. The Oysters served here are delicious and plentiful.I have eaten here over fifty times and always great polite service and fresh food. The prices are excellent for the abundance of seafood you order.I have been to many restaurants here, some where reservations... We started off with a calamari appetizer. That was a bit too heavily beaded, but plenty of calamari and good. The salads came and we're okay...just okay. We both ordered oysters. Big mistake! A couple of them were bad. The waitress was sweet about it, but it is not easy to get over a bad oyster. We won't be back.... More

Recommended by the hotel we were staying it was terrific! I had the grilled, local trout that was delicious. My husband enjoyed the grilled pork chops and brother-in-law had the Mediterranean chicken. It was so good for dinner, we went back for breakfast the next day! Great good, great service, huge portions and a special shout out to our waitresses... More

My wife had the Lasagna which was ok, but had to but not to her standards. I had the club sandwich that I only ate a fourth, it was OK, just had an earlier snack. The service was very good, but they were very busy as next to us was a large party. I would go back, but would try... More

While definitely a local hot spot, this place is a must for those who enjoy a quality sit down breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Breakfast is served all day, so you don't have to be an early riser. I personally recommend the "build your own burger" option for a customized burger experience. Be warned, the place is always busy. And for... More

We walked in expecting a typical diner experience...appearance is family-style older restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and quick. The food was so fresh and delicious with generous servings! The fried green tomatoes were hot, firm and lightly breaded allowing the taste to come through. My husband had the fried catfish and I had grilled mountain trout - both were delicious!... More

Our hotel recommended us go to this restaurant and we are glad they did. The food was great and the service was great. We could tell a lot of locals were in the restaurant and were enjoying it.

Home cooking at it's best. I will be going back again and again. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and commented on it. Staff are real people they cut up and talk.

The best part of our experience was the waitstaff. Amanda was more than helpful but the food was subpar at best. We asked our hotel consigner for a good place to eat and he said to tell them that he recommended them. The staff said that happens a lot but they dont know who he is. haha
