We were probably the first people in on a Sunday morning. There is nothing fancy about this place and if your uppity in any way you probably won't like it. I however loved it, nice people, cook and the waitress. Potato latkes were yummy...not my Mom's but still very good. I also had french toast, eggs and bacon. Yes i... More

Today's visit was quite disappointing. We live in the area and like to stop here when we have friends over. The service was unfortunately terrible today despite us being one of the only tables in her section. The table was sticky when we sat down and was still sticky after the waitress cleaned it. She admittedly brought our drinks back... More

My wife and I decided to check out The Potato Wedge for brunch. The food was all very delicious. I especially enjoyed the country fried steak as it had a nice flavor and a very nice crunch to the batter. The Ruskie potatoes were quite good and the eggs were standard eggs, but tasty as well. Reasons they did not... More

Dropped in for a quick breakfast and selected an omelette with grits and a biscuit. While the omelette was good sized it was overlooked and the meat inside was dry and probably overdone as well. The biscuit was good as well as the coffee but the grits were likely just instant with little or no flavor. Servers were good and... More

Food was done promptly and the family ownership was friendly and efficient. Changes to their dishes were welcomed and the food (veggie omelet for me) was well crafted. Good value. If it's atmosphere you want, this isn't the place. On the other hand, if you want real (as opposed to fast food) meals, it's a fine place for a solo... More

This was our first time here. We had breakfast. Normally we eat at IHOP but decided to give this place a try. The breakfast menu has lots of choices so you can get just about any breakfast food you want. Service was very good but then it should be with only 4 diners in the whole restaurant. Food was average... More

Offer a wide variety of breakfast items. Decent eggs with the fixings (bacon, toast, potatoes). Ruskies are a special treat for a potato choice. Service was attentive, especially given she was working the dining room alone. Pretty standard breakfast fare at a surprisingly reasonable price.

My husband and I were tired of eating biscuits, cronuts, wholewheat pancakes and the like that is offered at most Asheville breakfast spots. He wanted a "real breakfast" and we found it at The Potato Wedge. The name is apt - you can order potatoes every which way. Diced hash browns, shredded hash browns, and their famous Ruskies. The Ruskies... More

Our daughter lives there and recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was very nice and the food was really good. I recommend the pecan pancakes!
