Sweet and sour chicken was very dry and tough. Freezer burned chicken? Chicken in black bean sauce had maybe 5 tiny black beans. It was chicken in vegetable sauce. Not bad but not chicken in black bean sauce. Pork chop suey was good per my...wife. Dumplings good as well.More

Ordered soup and Chicken with Garlic sauce through DoorDash. It was delicious and had lots of veggies just like I hoped. Would definitely order again!

Tried this restaurant as we've yet to find a good inexpensive Asian place. It's a bit of a drive from us (we're in N. Asheville, it's in W Ashe) and since it was open on a Monday night, took a chance. Online ordering was easy....Prices a touch higher than others in the area but relatively competitive. Atmosphere in restaurant seemed ok - basic booths, but clean and neat. Our order was ready on arrival, and they did seem a bit busy on that night. We ordered the PuPu for two, steamed dumplings, curry beef and shrimp fried rice and WonTon soup, brown rice and chicken cashew. Steamed dumplings were good, standard sauce. The PuPu was pretty hit or miss, a lot of food, but the boneless spare ribs were overcooke,d, one so much it was inedible. Breading on the shrimp (not deviened!), scallops, chicken pieces was tempura style. Chicken was best. Crab rangoon fairly tasteless. Overall, platter was unimpressive at best. Curry beef didn't have much flavor. I ordered it mild, not knowing this place, and it was, but definite lack of curry flavor. Shrimp fried rice was good. WonTon soup was flavorful with plenty of "schmaltz" ;) Chicken cashew was also ok, but not a lot of flavor. High points - WonTon Soup, Steamed Dumplings, Shrimp fried rice. Lows - PuPu not too good, other dishes meh. We'll keep searching - but not hopeful, we've tried pretty much all the inexpensive places within a 20 minute drive and have found them all to be mediocre and inconsistent.More

I would like to see some decent Chinese restaurants in Asheville (besides Red Ginger) so I'll just be charitable and say that Dragon China is clean, the owners seem to be nice, the portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. But, heavens to...Betsy, this place is for those who believe Chinese food is chop suey, chow mein and Gen. Tso's chicken. Folks who think this is good must never have been to New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Vancouver or any other big city, much less to anywhere in Asia. Avoid anything fried, including the egg rolls and spring rolls. If you have to eat here, maybe try the Moo Shu Pork. It's mediocre instead of awful.More

I ordered Mu Shu Pork as a take out. It was ready in 10 minutes although that wasn't during peak hours. The Mu Shu was delicious. I would definitely return for more.

There are literally thousands of Chinese restaurants that look just like this one, from the overhead lit up menu board and generic printed menu, to the basically sterile environment with a flat screen TV and stock art on the walls. So I must explain my...4 star restaurant is not in comparison to restaurants of all cuisines or even to Chinese food as a cuisine. This place serves fast, hot, decent food at a good price, better than most other Chinese restaurants in this class who serve in styrofoam and plastic forks for dine-in. You want gourmet? Go the The Noodle House downtown and pay accordingly.More

Service was great! Food came out fast, piping hot. Prices were reasonable and quantities more than ample. My criticisms preventing this from 5 stars were: plastic utensils, plastic plates, duck sauce in hard to open little packs and they do not take Amex. The dining...area had little ambience. No tablecloths. Very bright. If some of these things were resolved, it would be 5 Star!More

Called in to order take out and the food was ready when I arrived. Was just a little disappointed in the Cheese Rangoon has there wasn't much filling in them. The Chicken & Shrimp with Broccoli and Snow Peas was pretty tasty. For the price...I don't think one can really give this place a bad review.....unless something other than food related happens. Will keep getting food from here.More

This place is located in West Asheville in a shopping plaza. It's a great family option for lunch or dinner. Lunch is $5.45 and dinner is $5-8. Great for the family budget. Always hot and fresh. My favorite is the cashew chicken. Love the shrimp...entrees as well. They are always super fast with my order. If I'm short on time. Taking dinner home. I call ahead. They always have it ready for me. :)More

I'm really bad about ordering just one thing- cashew chicken. They have a great variety of food items to choose from and have spent a lot of money there over the last few years so they will continue to take my money when i am...hungry.More
