We were visiting Asheville with the intent to visit as many craft breweries in the city as we could. We are two separate couples, each of us preferring a different type of beer, from light to dark!
This is a really nice brewery, really liked all the outside seating. Could sit inside as well. Merchandise is sold inside and snacks but no real food. They handed us a menu from nearby Iconic Kitchens where we did order from and could have eaten right here.
Anyway cool place and cold beers! I would return.

We ordered a flight from the downstairs bar, then wandered up to the top floor outdoor space... and it was lovely. We had a view of the moon, the ball park, and enjoyed the sounds of other patrons enjoying time together there. I think this would be an ideal location for a wedding-weekend gathering... rehearsal dinner or just drinks afterward.

Stopped in to enjoy their tasty beer. A favorite is their ESB but on this visit we had the Wunderkind a Dopplebock. Very Good with lots of flavor. The building has outside seating and different levels with inside and outside seating. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our drinks there. When you go up the steps to the other levels you can see their production facility. A very nice microbrew!

Beer that we were allowed to taste was okay, and the two guys working the counter were terrible and not friendly. My husband asked for two beers to sample and I asked for one, and the guy said I could pay for a half serve, but they couldn’t give me a sample. The other server was completely rude to my husband from the get go, and acted annoyed we even walked in the doors. No wonder there were only two people there. Do yourself a favor and walk the extra few feet to Catawba or Wicked weed! Better service and definitely better beer!!

Corner location, but the place was dead. Wanted to taste a few beers prior to pint purchase, but was offered that only with a full flight. Beer was ok. Staff was distant and didn’t really want to answer questions about the beer. The logo is cool, but the whole experience wasn’t even worthy of buying a sticker. We moved on to other breweries. Might be a hidden gem, but wasn’t for us.

First the positives. The beer was good, maybe even one of our favorites. We tried three different kinds, and liked them all. There was a large outdoor seating area, that is probably quite nice when the weather is warmer.
Unfortunately it is quite cold in December and there are only four tables inside. On top of there only being four tables, there really is no atmosphere in the brewery. It is quite cold, literally and figuratively. All the patrons were forced to sit with their coats on as they drank their beers it was so chilly in this place. They don't currently offer flights due to COVID (although most other breweries do), but the bartender did suggest that we get 8 oz. pours. Unfortunately there are very few beers that they offer 8 oz. pours in. Also, as far as food goes, they seemed to have some bags of chips, but that was about it.
We liked the beers, but didn't want to stay here long.

We were able to hit about 9 breweries while in Asheville and this was just okay. It is a great building with a couple of levels. I had an IPA and it was okay. The rest of our group felt the same way about the beers. It is dog friendly and you can take your dogs inside which is very nice. There is a bus that stops every hour with a lot of people on it so just be ready. We were here on a Saturday in February and it was very crowded.

Don’t go here if you’re handicapped. I was refused service because they said I was stumbling. I have complete foot drop to right foot and have to wear a brace to walk. They never even spoke to me. They told my friend they would not serve me. After my friend and I complained the finally served us. The bar manager never apologized. He told my friend he was uncomfortable talking to us.

Went for the beer and will return for the food. While the beer was slightly above average, the food was amazing. We had fried pickles and scampi fries. The box of pickles was full to the absolute top so its definitely for sharing with a crowd. The Scampi Fries were to die for. I've been wanting more since we left!

Since we were only in Asheville one night, and on a Sunday, I chose one brewery to visit and that brewery was Green Man. Was not disappointed at all! The Brewery itself was super cool and the beer was very good. The staff was very helpful and helped us with choosing our beer.

This place is quite large, spread over 3 floors. It was a beautiful January day and we enjoyed the sunshine from the large upstairs balcony. It was very busy, but we were able to find a table/chairs. The beer was decent, but the views were great!

We only had one beer here, but enjoyed it. The covered outdoor area on the 3rd floor was delightful, with a lovely breeze. Pet friendly.
Make sure and check out the bathrooms on the 2nd floor. Pretty funny.

Long time local brewery. The IPA and the ESB are unmatched. Cool atmosphere in the tap room upstairs or the outdoor place in back. I remember when they brewed in the Jack of the Wood pub

Very nice and comfortable space comfortable with tons of seating. They do not server food which is not a big deal, plenty of places to ear near by. No food was available. Great IPA's and also Sours.

A fellow tourist recommended this to us while we were visiting the Hillman Brewery. Our initial stop was at the back extension of the brewery as we hadn’t realized it encompassed the full corner of the street when we stopped. It was a cool little brewery where the drinks were refreshing. After our beer, we ventured down to the main site for a souvenir glass. They have a cool painting on the wall of their brand. Definitely worth a visit.
