I’ve been to wasabi several times and the servers are always friendly, and the sushi is very good. It’s quality sushi and delivered quickly, and the specials are interesting. When Oysters are in season, they are gorgeous! The shells are cleaned out so beautifully that...you can practically take them home and make a necklace out of them. And the flavors they use with the oysters are on point. The oysters on this visit were exceptional! This time, however, there was a bit of a misstep with my sushi order and the Toro. Let’s start with the sushi. It was the crawfish roll and there was mango on top. And the mango was not ripe. In fact, it was hard. And difficult to eat. I had to keep pulling the mango out of my mouth to aggressively chew it, because it was not ripe. And so the overall roll experience was disappointing. And I love Toro, but when this came, it didn’t seem like the usual Toro. It was cut in a square, which was unusual, and Toro normally is so soft that it just falls apart, and this just was not. It was good, but it wasn’t the typical gorgeous, very soft, toro that I’m accustomed to. I’m not saying that it was bad, or the flavor was bad, but it wasn’t excellent, and when I order Toro, I expect excellence. The price tag certainly demands excellence! I will be back, but this particular experience was just less than ideal due to the unripe mango and the Toro that was a bit more chewy than I am accustomed to.More

In town for our 20th wedding anniversary. Our server was friendly and took very good care of us. food was excellent and came out very fast. Will definitely be back.

Cute restaurant. Sushi was fresh. Waitress was friendly and efficient. No complaints about service. My only complaint was that you only get one piece of nigiri instead of the standard 2 for the same price at other places. Also, the roe is served on cucumber...instead of rice. First time we had it that way at any sushi house and we’ve visited many including time in Japan. Still giving a 5 rating because the quality of the food and service. Definitely worth a visit. We will return but will stick with rolls.More

This is a great 'Pitstop' for Lunch. Everyone there was super-friendly and helpful. I stopped for some Sashimi & Sushi and everything I ordered was excellent.Fresh and the right temp. Just not a fan of Wasabi sauce. The Service is Top Notch: friendly and Sincere....A large lunch for $28 , I recommend your visit highly.More

My wife and I were in Ashville for the first time and happened across this restaurant on our walk around town. The food was great and the service was very fast and pleasant. The portions were generous and left no room for dessert. We had...the chicken teriyaki and steak teriyaki.More

Saw reviews for this Sushi joint. All signs pointed to good..well maybe I came in too early for lunch ? The Miso soup tasted bitter .. the server could care less about anything (rather be on their phone) so I actually got up and asked...for water (had a diet coke but gave up on that) also I understand times are tough, but if I'm there spending money; maybe just be kind ? Also the tuna was trash not fresh.More

We were in the mood for sushi and started reading reviews and came across this place. So glad we did! It immediately reminded us of NYC, the way you walk in from the street to a small outdoor area that was heated, then further into...the restaurant which was small, crowded but quaint. The service was wonderful, very friendly, good timing on bringing out the various dishes we ordered. The menu had so many choices and it was a hard decision. I stuck to appetizers (4) and sushi. He got sushi and hibachi, so we shared everything. It was wonderful. Fresh, presented beautifully and the dishes were pretty as well. So glad we had leftovers! We went on a Saturday at an odd time like 2pm so we got right in. Parking is either on the street or in the public parking lot about 1 block away. There is nowhere inside to wait for a table so keep that in mind if you go during meal time. We can’t wait to go back!More

Excellent sushi. Labor Day eve and every place is packed. We stopped at this place and they were able to seat us at the sushi bar. Miso soup was great so is the seaweed salad. We ordered 4 different rolls and they were amazing.
