As someone who frequently travels to the Middle East, I can vouch for the authenticity of the cuisine offered at the Jerusalem Garden Cafe. From the Hummus to the Lamb Kabobs, it was all delicious. The live music and the belly dancer completed the atmosphere for a wonderful meal.

LOVED JGC!!!! Food was really good and the staff was really nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would come back if I visited Asheville again.

We ended up eating here twice on a two day trip. The Mediterranean food was so good. I had the veggie platter which included and my friends had the gyro. It was all very good! We drank Moroccan mint iced tea, which was delightful! The wait staff was friendly and seemed to really enjoy being there. We were told that... More

Been to asheville a lot and this time decided we didn't want to wait out Tupelo honey with another couple. I was skeptical but I promise you won't be sorry with this food. They do no marketing or make much of an attempt to attract the breakfast crowd. The food is really good. Gourmet presentation. No wait and empty on... More

Excellent food, service was good but slow.... They need to add more wait staff. The stuffed grape leaves, falafel, lamb kibbeh, and hummus were absolutely awesome! The kafta meshwi kabob was okay but nothing special; we wouldn't order it again. We ended our meal with Turkish coffee, which was perfect - a first for me but not for my husband... More

Must be a locals thing. Food was like microwave frozen dinner! This is my first bad review ever so I'll just leave it at that....

We thought we'd save time eating at the Jerusalem Garden because other restaurants in town had wait times to be seated. Boy, did we make a mistake! We had to ask for coffee several times, service was extremely slow and poor, and our food was served cold and seemed to be left over from the day before. My advice: eat... More

This was a welcome diversion from the usual travel routine - a quiet, relaxed, and tasty run at Middle Eastern cuisine with Southern exposure. Humus in the land of grits.

My husband and I had the Hummus which was excellent. We had the Beef Kabobs and they were very good. The Basmati rice was very good also.

Sweet people, unusual décor and tasty food. What more could you want? We thoroughly enjoyed the lamb and eggplant. Sorry, no left overs! We were charmed by our waitress who knelt down to our short table and floor cushion level. This intimate interaction only added to the fun of a room shrouded in red tapestry. Well done, Jerusalem Garden Café... More
