Beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. Besides of the great choice of food, whatever we chose was just exceeding our expectations. The salad was crispy, fresh, and a great complement to the rockfish we chose. The preparation of the rockfish was just perfect. And all the...More

I prefer Zambra over Curate, Asheville's current favorite tapas restaurant. Not only was Zambra the first, but it's still the best. Try both and see which you like best. The newest places seem to get the best reviews, while older restaurants fall out of favor....More

Every dish is wonderful, even the desert, and they have sherry, which is hard to find, even in nice restaurants. Our waiter was knowledgeable, personable, and professional.

We were too late making a reservation. However we were able to walk in and snag a high top table in the bar area. Service was good. Bar areas are always dicey as the server usually has a large area to cover. This was the...More

Small plate, tapas. A great way to taste a lot of different dishes. 3 of us enjoyed all 5 different dishes that we tried. Can't wait to go back. The decor reminded us of the caves in Spain.

This is one of my favorite Asheville restaurants. Zambra's has been rather eclipsed by another famous tapas restaurant where I've also often eaten, but Zambra's has the Asheville vibe: funky in the best sense, full up with people and scents and flavors. The tapas are...More

If you look on their permanent menu (on the website), some of the dishes show two prices. The second price is for the item as an entree. We were told the entrees were quite large and are sometimes split.

Our dynamic menu is the passion of Executive Chef Adam. Adam has attained many influences through his training in Europe and New Orleans. Zambra is his modern vision of the tastes and flavors of the western Mediterranean: Spain, Portugal, Gypsy, and North Africa. As an appropriate accompaniment, we have assembled the region's finest selection of Spanish and New World wines. We have been awarded the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and our wine list has been voted the best in Asheville.
