We started out with the summer sangria which was fruity and refreshing. We ordered the olives and Spanish cheeses to have while we read through the extensive menu options. The olives were served warm and the cheeses were served with bread, chutney, and pistachios. There are quite a few exotic options on the menu, some of which we were not... More

Zambra was a mixed bag, difficult to rate. I would have liked to give it a 4, but the server dragged ir down to a 3. The ambience in great, faux Moorish I guess, with great colors and decorative touches. Food ranged from good to excellent. I had the Sangria, which was so-so, I would not order it again. My... More

I've eaten at several Asheville Resturants and zambra is by far one of the best. The service is great and the food is even better, the wait staff was right on my water glass never got below half empty and our selection of food great . Everything was served quickly and was just the way we ordered it. My wife... More

As recommended by our hotel concierge (Indigo), this tapas restaurant did not disappoint - the shared rucola salad, the spring rolls, the chickpeas and confit duck were tasty. The Pinot Noir was a good accompaniment. It goes without saying that the staff were charming and helpful....

Our dining experience lived up to the reviews. We were staying a night in Asheville enroute elsewhere and had a lovely meal. The tapas were delicious, nicely presented and quick in being served. All in all enjoyed the event and would go again if every passing through.

The restaurant scene in Asheville is bustling and there are a lot of good choices. As this is written, the #1 restaurant in Asheville on Trip Advisor is Curate. I understand it is quite good, but hard to get into. A former Asheville resident recommended that we try another tapas restaurant, Zambra. My wife and I found it to be... More

Don't miss this gem. Locals know it as the equivalent of Curate without the crowds. Great service and incredibly delicious food!! Go hungry because there are so many fantastic choices.

I've been to Zambra three times in the last 18 months. The food is amazing. They focus on small plates. Their gnocchi is wonderful and they do amazing things with foods I don't typically enjoy, including a wonderful Brussels sprouts dish and a chickpea dish. Many people rave about their egg rolls and they were good, but I'd recommend the... More

We were able to get a table without a reservation by being there at 6:30 pm. Very helpful waitress who knew all the items on the menu, and was able to make recommendations. My wife and I shared five plates and we were stuffed! Be certain to try the gnocchi and the beef check. Wonderful food and an eclectic ambiance.

Family ate here after a day exploring Asheville. Very enjoyable experience. Wait staff was excellent. We had the scallops, pork cheeks, and Kung pao shrimp....all were fantastic, and I would recommend highly. Huge wine list....something for everyone.

Thank Joe T

Our dynamic menu is the passion of Executive Chef Adam. Adam has attained many influences through his training in Europe and New Orleans. Zambra is his modern vision of the tastes and flavors of the western Mediterranean: Spain, Portugal, Gypsy, and North Africa. As an appropriate accompaniment, we have assembled the region's finest selection of Spanish and New World wines. We have been awarded the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and our wine list has been voted the best in Asheville.
