The small plates were varied, creative and delicious! The restaurant was unique and a dimly lit romantic atmosphere. Wait staff very attentive. Best to make a reservation if going 7:30 pm or later. Earlier in the evening no problem getting in. Highly recommend.

Zambra has a very lively yet romantic atmosphere. The small plates are creative, delicious and artfully presented. This is our go to restaurant.

Traveling is my passion and my trusted Tripadvisor has never let me down choosing a suitable restaurant for my tastes and special occasions. Having said that, finally Tripadvisor was wrong! Zambra is rated #21 in town but to me it was #1 because everything was perfect. The quiet and soothing ambiance of the main dining room, the long list of... More

Zambra was the only restaurant we could find with tables available at 6:30 on a recent Sunday evening. We were seated immediately and given two menus. The server explained that the shorter menu was their standard offerings and the longer menu the specials for the evening. We ended up ordering from both and were equally satisfied. She suggested we start... More

There was 10 of us ordering many different small plates ( Tapas). So good! I can't wait to go back. One negative about downtown Asheville, hard to find a place to park. Find a parking garage,

We were overwhelmed with the choices, so we just let our waitress choose for us. We had 7 or 8 dishes, and each one was fantastic. The atmosphere was funky and fun too. Great experience.

We started out with the summer sangria which was fruity and refreshing. We ordered the olives and Spanish cheeses to have while we read through the extensive menu options. The olives were served warm and the cheeses were served with bread, chutney, and pistachios. There are quite a few exotic options on the menu, some of which we were not... More

Zambra was a mixed bag, difficult to rate. I would have liked to give it a 4, but the server dragged ir down to a 3. The ambience in great, faux Moorish I guess, with great colors and decorative touches. Food ranged from good to excellent. I had the Sangria, which was so-so, I would not order it again. My... More

I've eaten at several Asheville Resturants and zambra is by far one of the best. The service is great and the food is even better, the wait staff was right on my water glass never got below half empty and our selection of food great . Everything was served quickly and was just the way we ordered it. My wife... More

Went to Zambra's last night while in town from Louisville, KY. The inside of this place is very cool, with a laid-back, warm-colored, dim lighting vibe that instantly felt soothing. I ordered bread with olive oil, grilled scallops, patatas bravas and an Asian chicken chimichanga. Then they brought an order of gnocchi, on the house, because they made too many.... More

Our dynamic menu is the passion of Executive Chef Adam. Adam has attained many influences through his training in Europe and New Orleans. Zambra is his modern vision of the tastes and flavors of the western Mediterranean: Spain, Portugal, Gypsy, and North Africa. As an appropriate accompaniment, we have assembled the region's finest selection of Spanish and New World wines. We have been awarded the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and our wine list has been voted the best in Asheville.
