This was one of the best meals I've ever had in Asheville. I would describe the cuisine as southern comfort food. I had a barbecue plate with ribs and pulled pork. It was A+. My wife had trout, as she frequently does, and proclaimed it as perfect. The sides are delicious, the service friendly and professional, the bar drinks ample... More

To begin with we were delighted with the grilled okra!!!! The waitress was very helpful and we chose home made style steak and chips. The restaurant was very familiar and the food good, very traditional country like, we loved it. My daughter from Colombia and her husband were very pleased My husband said that the food was very well made

Stopped here for lunch and shared a few small plates. I highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts and the Appalachian Johnny Cake. Service was quick and food was awesome. Plus I was pleasantly surprised when they brought us biscuits and honey before the meal, yum!

Our family loved this restaurant. The Southern food choices are great, the atmosphere is very cool and the restaurant has a great location right in Downtown Asheville. The biscuits and honey are awesome! Highly recommend.

We had been recommended the Tupelo Honey Cafe by friends and were not disappointed. The food is delicious and well priced. We got complimentary biscuits and blueberry jam to start, which was practically a small meal in itself! The fried chicken was tender and tasty and the service was fantastic; our waiter gave us a map and helped us with... More

Lots of yummy food was had. Sat at the counter for dinne. Especially loved the avocado appetizer. Black bean burger and meatloaf were two of the delicious entrees.

This is the restaurant everyone recommends when you tell them you are going to Asheville, so we had to try it. It has a great atmosphere and a nice (though a bit close) outdoor patio. Our server DaShawn was awesome - friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was good - especially the biscuits with honey and blueberry compote and the... More

This unique establishment was recommended by someone we met in another restaurant during our visit to Asheville. They told us to make sure we stop at Tupelo's for breakfast. Was absolutely delicious. Very creative and interesting menu selections and was fun watching the chefs cook behind the counter where we sat. Service was excellent and very friendly. Highly recommend adding... More

Description
Our Southern dishes and libations are served with a creative twist and a smile, and we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn't want on our own supper table. When we play with our food (and we think it's okay), the result is scrumptious. We're rooted in the Mountain South, and our menu is inspired by time-honored traditions: pickling and frying, canning and preserving, and utilizing seasonal produce and ingredients to prepare delicious, scratch-made creations.
