Some of the best food we have ever tasted. Two words - fried okra. We loved it so much, we even bought the cookbook on the way out. The staff was very attentive and our drinks were never empty. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant is a great place to dine in Asheville. They do not take reservations so you will want to adjust your schedule for a wait, but worth it. The biscuit and honey are wonderful and the ribs were a perfect choice. Will go back again.

Sir down and enjoy home cooked meals with a modern twist. Breakfast is the best in town!!!!!! They have vegetarian lunches and dinners. I'm not an vegetarian however my lunch consisted only of healthy veggies and I didn't feel as if I missed any meat. I'm a meat and potato girl so for me to say the vegetarian lunch fulfilled... Our group had a late lunch and the food was very good. The server was very attentive and friendly. The room was on the warm side but it was very hot outside and crowded inside. Overall, I would rate the restaurant as above average.

We ate here after a few locals recommended it. The food was excellent! We ordered several small plates and enjoyed everyone immensely. The beer selection was eclectic and fabulously local. We enjoyed trying new brews. Each menu item has a recommended beverage pairing. I would have given 5 stars except that our waiter was a bit standoffish. I will return!

My friend told me they were good. But I thought he might have been exaggerating. I was wrong. These might have been the best Shrimp & Grits I ever ate. I got them ramped up with spinach, bacon, and mushrooms. The shrimp were big, plentiful, and tender -- cooked to perfection. And the grits were so creamy and rich and... More

A delectable breakfast menu. Fresh local ingredients making it hard to decide what to order! I enjoyed an egg scramble sprinkled with blueberries. Fast service, cute restaurant in the center of downtown Asheville.

Description
Our Southern dishes and libations are served with a creative twist and a smile, and we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn't want on our own supper table. When we play with our food (and we think it's okay), the result is scrumptious. We're rooted in the Mountain South, and our menu is inspired by time-honored traditions: pickling and frying, canning and preserving, and utilizing seasonal produce and ingredients to prepare delicious, scratch-made creations.
