My nacatamal was delicious, and the salad was perfectly fresh and crisp. My husband loved his Cuban sandwich. We even took pork and chicken tamales home for dinner. Authentic, delicious and unpretentious; we will definitely be back.

Had the huge ham, egg, and onion, crepe that was sooooo good. The weather was great, so the crew went out onto their deck and enjoyed watching the traffic go by. Service was very friendly, fast and professional. Skip the funny tasting tap water. Parking is tight but manageable. The dessert list was impressive, but was so stuffed, there no... More

Two friends and I dropped in at Cecilia's for a casual lunch on a recent visit to Asheville. We didn't know what to expect, but TripAdvisor reviewers had given it a pretty good review. We had empanadas, a special tamale and a wonderfully fresh Cuban sandwich. All the entrees were fresh and good, and served with a light green salad.... More

Visiting Asheville for winter break and had lunch at Cecilia's kitchen last week. Amazing crepes and perfect place to swing in for a satisfying meal. I recommend the normandy or the ratatouille. Super friendly staff, one of my top choices in town. Also highly recommend Cecilia's other restaurant "La ganguette" located in Black Mountain. Although I have only visited it... More

The reviews sounded interesting, so my wife and I made the drive for lunch. We arrived about 1:30 but still had to wait briefly for a table. This is a very tiny place with an even tinier parking lot. The decor could be described as plain, or maybe non-existent, but none of that matters when the food arrives. The menu... More

The place is sweet, the service excellent. However, I was not impressed with the food. I had 2 empanadas. One with spinach and ricotta was cold. The other, with eggplant, was warm but really didn't taste like much. It wasn't bad -- just not that good. I noticed all the wonderful reviews and wonder if I just ordered the wrong... More

Cecilia's Kitchen is my favorite local restaurant and a once-a-week lunch break for me. The variety and excellence of the food are amazing, from the tamales and empanadas to the savory crepes and soups. All are super tasty. And then you conclude your meal with the best dessert crepes ever! Cecilia buys locally-- fresh fruits, vegetables, etc. That is also... More
