The restaurant only seats to 50 percent capacity because of the coronavirus, and tables are socially distanced. I wasn't overly hungry. More in the mood for a light dinner. I had the duck confit Wellington. Very tasty. Not too filling. The restaurant has an extensive...wine list, some of which is available by the glass. I washed the confit down with a glass of pinot noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon. Lovely wine. Lovely meal. Excellent service.More

One of the best meals I've ever had...better than the meals at several Michelin establishments I have dined at. Fresh, unique, flavorful and surprising taste combinations in an unpretentious yet lovely setting. Everyone who worked there was kind, responsive, professional and attentive, without ever taking...away from or imposing on the dining experience. A rare find and amazingly managed. I will absolutely visit again if I find myself in Asheville in the future.More

Cold atmosphere mainly due to COVID I think, but I had the petite fillet and I thought it was delicious. However my friend ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops and could not finish them as she found them to be way over cooked and extremely salty. I...also would not recommend the charcuterie board either. I found it to be uncreative and bland and overpriced for the effort. The service however was great, and we had no wait with reservations.More

Our first visit to Chestnut was fantastic. The food was amazing. Both Samantha and Brad were great. The best meal of our mother daughter trip! Can’t wait to visit again.

This place was wonderful. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but when my experienced A-ville friend told me it was owned by the same people as Corner Kitchen, I went ahead and made a reservation. Sooooo happy we did! Our server was Rachel. Down to...earth girl who knew her dishes and her wines (hope your littlest one is still recovering well!❤️). Even let me sample two wines that were in my decision making. Now, if you love Brussels sprouts (BS), get the sprout appetizer. If others you are with like BS, tell them to order their own damn bowl. My husband threatened to turn up the bowl and lick it clean. Luckily, he refrained. I got the poached pear salad with the vinaigrette and gastrique on the side. Which was great, because it was also really good with the BS! The seafood simmer was good quality seafood, but the broth was pretty salty to both myself and my husband.More

Food was very good but what was outstanding was the manager's commitment to customer satisfaction. After a temperature misfire on my steak I enjoyed one of the best filets I have ever had and believe me I have eaten quite a few. The manager went...above and beyond my expectations to correct the issue and I was very impressed.More

As soon as you enter this restaurant, you are warmly welcomed by the receptionist and manager. Our server was delightful and shared her problems with bears eating her chickens! Everyone enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, steak, scallops wrapped in bacon, and trout entrees.

First time here and loved it! Visiting Asheville with 4 other couples and decided on Chestnut for dinner. Samantha was our wonderful server. Lobster bisque was absolutely delicious! Entrees chosen were petit filet, bacon wrapped scallops, beef shortribs and seafood simmer. All were just wonderful....Will definitely visit Chestnut on our next time in Asheville!!More

I enjoyed the lobster bisque and fried pickled green tomatoes but the whipped potatoes served with the petite filet plate were over salted (And I LOVE salt). Service left much to be desired. I was greeted pleasantly and seated by the hostess quickly for my...reservation, however my server was either overwhelmed or uninterested. Finished plates were left sitting, I had to ask for silverware twice from staff that had brought my food and when asking for a wine recommendation when ordering for my dinner I got zilch. Overall not a place I would return to with so many other options in Asheville.More

After a day of sightseeing we sat in the window and watched passers by while we enjoyed our cocktails. We started with the lobster bisque which was wonderful! Then my husband had the market catch halibut with lobster risotto cake and I had the Butternut...Gnocchi. Both were excellent. We finished with the lemon olive oil cake with marscapone, blackberries and figs - which sounds odd but tasted great! The interior was beautifully done and comfortable. I would say we enjoyed this even more than our meal at Jargon the next night. Highly recommend!More

Best to call them and get the information directly from the horse's mouth. That is what i would do since i do not run that restaurant.

There’s no posted dress code, but you’d probably feel most appropriate and comfortable in smart casual.
