Chestnut is an American restaurant. We are in a 1920s era building in downtown Asheville, right across for the Aloft hotel and the double decker coffee bus. Parking is plentiful (and cheap) at the public deck under the Aloft Hotel.

Enjoyed a wonderful business lunch. The grilled chicken salad was superb and the homemade dressing amazing! Atmosphere and service were great. I’ll be back!!!

We were recommended this restaurant by the employees of the Mast General store, right down the street. We were seated right away to a cozy, two-person booth. The food was delicious and I was very satisfied with my apple-brie sandwich. When ordering, I was on...More

Food was fantastic and the service was very good. I had the New York strip with fried gnocchi and vegetables. Perfectly cooked and great flavor. Duck confit wontons was a fantastic appetizer.

I truly love how rustic and quaint the vibe is at Chestnut. What really pleased me was how friendly the host was and how friendly our waitress Michaela was. Not only was the vibe amazing the live music took me to another place. I felt...More

We weren't too hungry so had a cup of the mushroom and farrow soup. It was rich and delicious. The seasonal salad with acorn squash was tasty, but I wish the squash had been warm. It tasted like someone tossed it on from the leftover...More

Although Chestnut is downtown in Asheville, NC, and not close to the Biltmore House, their sister restaurant, called Corner Kitchen is closer in Biltmore Village. I have not been there, but it is farm to table and they are... More
