Jack of the Wood features the Green man craft beers on tap as well as a delicious pub menu. We've had several lunches there and they were all good. they have live music on weekends too.

We stopped here late in the night on Saturday night. $5 cover charge. Good band! They have a really good cherry cider. Big bar, cool place.

Please fire this sloth so folks can actually enjoy the live music and atmosphere! Totally unacceptable and inexcusable behavior.

Had a couple late night beers here on a Friday night. They had a band playing bluegrass music which was entertaining. There was a $5 cover which I anyways think is silly if the people there to listen to the band are also buying food and beers. Neat little place but not a lot of seating so if it gets... More

Typical Asheville fair. They have a nice bar selection, and a nice rotating beer selection. Had the fish and chips for dinner, my wife had shepherd's pie. Both were excellent. Although the fish and chips is not typically breaded. The batter is highly seasoned and crunchy. Very convenient to downtown inn and suites!

We were pleasantly surprised to get seated without a wait at Jack of the Wood at dinnertime on a Friday night. Our waitress was very sweet with a good sense of humor; the drinks and food were prompt and delicious! Fun, kind of mysterious ambience.

This was a quaint little bar. It had soft live music playing in the corner so it didn't interfere with conversation.

Really good food and excellent location in downtown Asheville. It’s not a lot to look at on the inside. It’s your standard pub. The food is very good. It’s an Irish themed food with an Asheville spin. We actually ate at the restaurant twice during our stay in Asheville. I had the Shepard’s pie and cornbeef sandwich. Both were excellent.... More
