Had a couple late night beers here on a Friday night. They had a band playing bluegrass music which was entertaining. There was a $5 cover which I anyways think is silly if the people there to listen to the band are also buying food and beers. Neat little place but not a lot of seating so if it gets... More

Typical Asheville fair. They have a nice bar selection, and a nice rotating beer selection. Had the fish and chips for dinner, my wife had shepherd's pie. Both were excellent. Although the fish and chips is not typically breaded. The batter is highly seasoned and crunchy. Very convenient to downtown inn and suites!

We were pleasantly surprised to get seated without a wait at Jack of the Wood at dinnertime on a Friday night. Our waitress was very sweet with a good sense of humor; the drinks and food were prompt and delicious! Fun, kind of mysterious ambience.

This was a quaint little bar. It had soft live music playing in the corner so it didn't interfere with conversation.

Really good food and excellent location in downtown Asheville. It’s not a lot to look at on the inside. It’s your standard pub. The food is very good. It’s an Irish themed food with an Asheville spin. We actually ate at the restaurant twice during our stay in Asheville. I had the Shepard’s pie and cornbeef sandwich. Both were excellent.... More

Recommended to us by a friend. The burgers we had were beyond delicious. Also try the cheese fires....they are a meal themselves. They serve a lot of interesting beers (hubby tried a cucumber flavor) and they have somberly good local cheeses they use on their sandwiches. Will totally visit again.

Beer is good. Lots to choose from. Music was...music. Singer was not going to make it on AGT, but they were fun! Young crowd with a lot of energy!

What a unique place to visit. The interior decor is whimsy and fun and pulls you back to an Irish pub.
