I have been here twice with my family. It is a small, unpretentious restaurant in the River Arts District. Half of the space consists of the bar area and the dining area is separated by a half wall. The kitchen is exposed to the dining area and that is where the chef looks out for your reaction to his creations.... More

I chose the Junction for a recent birthday dinner because I was so impressed the first time I went when visiting Asheville last fall. Everything was delicious and as creatively prepared as before, which made for a great meal. Justin's famous cornbread with poblano butter and agave nectar is a "must try" in my opinion, and the grilled South Carolina... More

Wow! What amazing and interesting food. There were 7 of us in our party and everyone was beyond thrilled with their food. Our favorites were the meat and cheese board and the corn bread for starters. The fish (two peas and a cod) and the fried chicken were the dinner favorites. You won't go wrong here!

The RAD is a great place to visit artist studios and eat good food. The Junction is a sweet place to grab a meal or great cocktail. You can park on or off street and wander into galleries and working studios and buy a gift for a local artist. Then head to The Junction for a chief's delight.

We were on a road trip and knew we could spare a couple of hours in Asheville for a Sunday late lunch and a couple of galleries in the River Arts District. Found The Junction on Open Table and snagged it not knowing anything about them. We started with their take on a kir royale. Also had the cornbread as... More

We chose to sit outside on a warm Memorial Day weekend evening. Not a fancy outdoor seating area, but my meal was memorable. My son and I each had the pork chop and felt that they were probably best that we could ever remember. It was that good. My wife was not as enthused with her fried chicken. This was... More

The food here was very good - southern food with a modern twist. It is a casual restaurant with bare brick walls and innovative lighting. Our waiter was very good. An enjoyable evening.

I was visiting my daughter in Asheville and told her and her boyfriend to pick a restaurant that they wanted to try but was out of their price range. They picked The Junction as they had heard great things about it. First, it is a very trendy restaurant, with "trendy" food, "trendy" descriptions and "trendy" drinks. Angostura Bitters seems to... This is an incredible place and a true gem. We called ahead and spoke to Charles who told us when to come to avoid a wait. THANK YOU CHARLES! When we arrived, we (being the confused people we are) walked in the back door - whoops. The servers guided us nicely to the front where the host recommended we sit... More

The staff was very kind in accommodating our need for an outdoor spot for our dogs (they only have a few outdoor tables) and one of the cooks came out to give them pieces of bacon. We loved the cornbread and bacon. The only downside was the darn blue laws that don't allow alcohol to be served before 12 on... More

Description
The Junction is the first full service restaurant in Asheville's River Arts District. We feature Southern-inspired farm to table fare and seasonal craft cocktails with fresh ingredients. We brine our fried chicken, smoke our pears, handcraft our soups and visit tailgate markets weekly. We make our own bacon and ketchup, squeeze cases of citrus each week for cocktails and work with other local, small businesses whenever possible. We invite you to join us after work for a casual beer and a burger at the bar, or to bring your beloved or whole family for a unique dining experience. Our menu features a combination of soups, salads and sharing plates as well as hearty entree options so that every dining experience is unique. Please visit our website to preview menus, as they change weekly.
