Good fried green tomatoes and chicken pot pie. Large portion. Great service! We will be back. Can’t wait to try a different dish next time.

Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing meal! Takeout, Patio and outdoor dining only due to Covid. We sat outside in 42* weather with the heaters on and man it was so worth it! Me and my husband both ordered the 3 tender plate, mine were...medium honey and he ordered hot...the best even on the medium catches up to you, so if you don’t like spice get the mild! We ordered a small 6 piece Mac n cheese bites, ridiculously good, cheesy and served with zing ranch, yum. THE BEST FRIED GREEN TOMATOES I’ve ever had, topped with pepper jelly and goat cheese, just ridiculously flavorful. Our sides were good...Cole slaw, corn pudding(savory, dressing like), green beans, great fried okra, and creamy cheesy macaroni. Ranch, honey mustard and delicious mango habanero aioli $1 a piece. We came to this location despite the Sweeten Creek location being closer, we wanted to sit down and eat, not be limited to takeout. The counter service gentlemen and friendly busser made us feel welcome and at home...that tip jar needed some love so I had to fulfill that, worth every Penny. Oh and 3 gender neutral bathrooms, that were nice and clean! Very nice! Make sure you try this place!More
Thank you so much for the great review! We appreciate your attention to detail. Sweeten Creek has a patio open now where you can enjoy your food. Have a wonderful day!
Visited for a late lunch, mid afternoon. Food was great overall. Service mediocre. Left 18% tip when paid up front. Waitress brought out food and we didn’t see her again. Asked for salt and pepper and she told us it was inside on the tables...(we ate outside at picnic table, which we were glad they had available). She didn’t offer to bring me any, so I asked if I could get some off of a table. Had to go back inside to get it. No disposable salt or pepper packs available- just glass bottles on table, which I thought weird, because otherwise they seemed to be taking excellent COVID prevention precautions. Nashville hot chicken excellent and fresh, with quick service. Potato salad was good. We tried to call ahead to place our order, as we were in a hurry, but were told that we couldn’t place order ahead and then eat there outside, that we would have to take our order “to go” if we did that, which I didn’t really understand. Would definitely return due to great food, but would not leave an 18% tip in advance.More
Thank you for your review and I'm sorry your experience wasn't 5 star. I am sharing this with management. Please have a wonderful day!
One of the best places to go in Asheville for Fried Chicken !. We had mild and medium spiced piece and they were succulent with the right amount of flavor and moistness. We also tried the chicken pot pie which was excellent !
Thank you so much! Hope to see you again soon!
I really love Rocky’s! This “No-Chick Sandwich” doesn’t taste like an afterthought, as meatless cuisine too often does. It doesn’t taste like rubber or glorified cardboard. It tastes like a chicken sandwich, and a very good one at that. This plant-based chicken substitute has a...texture which is tender on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and allows the satisfying infusion of Rocky’s many glorious flavors. 🎯 All the sides I’ve tried have been good, but two of them deserve special mention. The pimiento cheese grits are heaven in a bowl. Just get them, ‘nuff said. Corn pudding starts off with a couple disadvantages right out of the gate. It’s name sounds a bit odd, and to look at it, well, it’s unlikely to win any beauty pageants. But people. Give it a try. Salty, crispy bits play beautifully off the natural sweetness of the corn. This stuff conjures up memories of friends and family gathered around a large table at grandma’s house. It’s a wonderful thing. 🎯 Oh, and save a little room for the Coca-Cola cake, which is made in-house. My piece was succulent and flavorful, and the frosting was bangin’. 🎯 Service is friendly and efficient. These are good people who are good at what they do. 🎯 Rocky’s - giving you the bird since 2009.More
Thank you for the wonderful review and we hope to see you again soon!
Today, 1-2-2021, was my first time to eat at this great chicken spot. I had a couple of fried thighs, honey hot, and OMG, delish. I also had mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and corn pudding. Some of the best food I've had in a...very long time. I encourage everyone to eat here. You will not be sorry.More
Thank you, Deb! See ya soon!
Did takeout for 10 people and they nailed it with accuracy, timeliness and great food. Chicken is very flavorful and spicy, mac n cheese phenomenal, tasty fries and delectable banana pudding dessert. Wonderful place.
Thank you so much! Please visit again soon!
Ordered online and was to pick up order in 45 minutes. Showed up in 45 and I’m still sitting here waiting 50 minutes in the parking lot so far and still waiting.
Brent, we are so sorry you had to wait longer than anticipated and we hope you'll give us another try soon.
We've eaten at a few hot chicken places, and weren't sure what to expect from one in Asheville, which doesn't exactly feel like the center of the hot chicken movement. But Rocky's is very good, and when they say it's hot, you can believe them....Even the mild has got some kick to it. Only suggestion for improvement would be to get the chicken a little more moist. It can be somewhat dry. Sides are great here--standouts on our trip were banana pudding and mac and cheese.More
We hope you'll give us another try soon and thank you for the review.
I think the food was going to be good, BUT after seeing a few cock roaches creeping around, we left. 1 in bathroom and 2 in the eating inside area. This is a bad sign in a restaurant
OMG, that hasn't happened before and you're the first to ever tell us that! We have contacted pest control.
