This Tupelo Honey Cafe has good food, with a relaxing outdoor patio. We couldn't find a place to park within a mile of the Downtown T.H.C. -- but Tupelo South is much more accessible, much more relaxing.

Good food, nothing special but nothing down-trodden, either. Good portions, vegetables were fresh and M-Thurs, $3/pints.Thanks for the complementary biscuit and jam although that could have filled a light eater up! Service was straight-forward with a smile and willingness to make exceptions. Unlike the downtown...More

Joined a friend for lunch and had a basic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. The burger was huge and delicious and the sweet potato fries can't be beat. The weather was mild and we really enjoyed the outside seating.

Where do I start? Lunch with friends. Complementary biscuit and jam. Our waitress was so pleasant and courteous with multiple requests. Sweet tea and sweet potato fries scrumptious. Several delicious dishes with grits. Best part was the 2 books for sale. Went I arrived home,...More

Service was efficient if less than friendly, but the food was really good. Really liked the goat cheese grits. Had the Eggs Betty on gluten free bread.

I really enjoyed this place. The menu was large and the food was wonderful. I had a salad with chicken. It was sizable as well as memorable. They also provide amazing biscuits with lovely jelly. I would definitely be back.

This was our 4th trip to Asheville and we decided it was time to try the classic 'Tupelo Honey Cafe'. The downtown location is pretty hard to get into on Friday/Saturday night so we made reservations at the newer south location. Overall experience was average...More

Very much enjoyed the fried avocado and the beets as well as the goat cheese grits. I was disappointed that they offer "all day breakfast", but it is only 2 breakfast items.

Our hunger took us to Tupelo on a mission to find something organic. We inquired about their fried chicken, but alas it was not organic. It seems that the menu lists only the meatloaf dinner with the tag "organic." It was made with Hickory Nut...More

Great location was on the way back from Asheville Outlet Mall in Hendersonville. Nice location set on the enclosed patio which was nice. Menu was good however, what we thought was going to be good turned out to be ok. The salmon was good and...More

Description
What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!
