Our family wanted to grab a quick bite to eat prior to touring the Biltmore Estate. My daughter had suggested Honey Tupelo. The placed was packed. It took about thirty minutes to get a table for 8. Lori the manager was most pleasant. Although she was extremely busy, she made time to chat with us. Sara, our server read the... More

My husband had the special Hog Cheeks with collard greens and pureed parsnips. He loved it! (even tho he is not normally a fan of either vegetable) I had the Southern Fried Chicken with the corn souffle and the shaved brussel sprouts. They brought me grilled chicken by mistake but quickly corrected this error. All was delicious. And they bring... More

I'd like to assume the downtown Asheville location has a little more atmosphere. We visited for lunch along with another couple and 3 total children. The restaurant was accommodating to our children and the service was good. Though, as a tourist, I was left wanting the experience to be more. Decent beer selection, but after a day of visiting breweries,... More

It was my first time in Asheville and a friend took me here for breakfast. I was impressed with the selection and tasty biscuits. One could make a meal just out of their biscuits and honey! Breakfast was great, and I ordered a grilled cheese to go. A must try for first time Asheville visitors like myself!

Our party of six enjoyed our visit with a few exceptions. We ordered a lot of food, ranging from a couple of kids veggie plates to shrimp and grits, Charleston Chicken, sweet potato pancake and a veggie burger. All were tasty. Some miscommunication led to a side dish snafu, but the server made it right by comping us the dish.... More

very popular among locals and visitors to area, eclectic food and appetizers. Everything we had was good... menu and beverage selection both seem a little short.. would have liked more choices..but overall good

I've been to both Asheville locations, and this one is the better of the two for a relaxed dining experience. The downtown location is pretty cramped with a forever-long wait list. Everything Tupelo Honey Cafe makes is golden. We've never had a disappointing meal. So many restaurants today boast 'fresh, farm-to-table,' but THC is exactly that. The menu changes quite... More

We were first timers to the area, we wanted to sample something regional of course. The downtown Asheville is charming and full of small local restaurants which is a nice change from our chain dominated hometown. Tupelo Honey was buzzing, quant, and had exactly the right mix of regional dishes and old standbys to keep our family of six with... More

This was some of the best food we ate during our Asheville trip. The biscuits melt in your mouth. The honey only made them better. The servings was huge. I had the Super Southern Breakfast Bowl, and my daughter had the Shoo Mercy Sweet Potatoe Pancake. I loved the black-eyed peas with my grits! Great service

the brunch is amazing. when they say the chicken biscuit is hot they mean it. they have a twist on all the offerings. the service was good and reasonably fast. if they had had espresso i would have given a 5.

What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!
