Finally had the opportunity to eat at Chai Pani, and I'm asking myself why I waited so long! The food is absolutely delicious! I am not an afficianado of Indian food, but everything my husband and I ordered had sensational flavor. We started with a samosa and the corn bhel and then ordered the chicken pakoras and the chicken thalis.... More

My wife and I eat dinner there about a week ago. I was a happy lad! The food tasted like what I had as a child in the old country. I almost considered delaying our departure from Asheville the next morning so I could go back and have lunch. We ordered a vegetarian thali with the main dish being made... More

We had an excellent dinner. My husband ordered the okra fries and they lived up to all the other reviews. I had the Kathi Kabab roll which was nice and spicy. A great experience.

What a super place to go if you want a fun, casual and great food experience! Saw others' reviews and happened to be riding by. SO glad we came in. The place is a tad small so there was a short wait but very well worth it! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area - even if... More

We made an effort to get there in time for a late lunch. Had to try the reknown Okra Fries! They are crispy little critters that have the appearance of toasted grasshoppers, but its skinned and julienned okra lengthwise. Tasty, but hearty portion left us getting a doggy bag! The Kathi chicken wrap was PHENOMENAL with its cooling yogurt sauce.... More

We have eaten at many, many Indian restaurants over the years, and they are generally a favorite of ours. Few are in the same class as this refreshing, relaxing and most importantly, tantalizingly delicious restaurant. Their "street food" angle adds so many new, and to date, unfamiliar recipes, which we found engaging and exciting. We loved the Mango Chaat, a... More

Love this place. The kale pakoras, potato fries and chats are delicious. we have been to this place multiple times and the taste & quality is consistently good. They have limited options though, but totally worth visiting the place if you are around.

We enjoy Indian food and were really happy to try Chai Pani. It does not have an oven to make tandoori flavors, don't let that change your mind. The street food here is fabulous. We had the okra fries (baked sliced okra) as a starter and were blown away. Mango lassi was well executed. We each had their special plates... More
